I'd guess around 40 for fairings to both mount and hold together cracks. Another 4 to hold on my exhaust to the peg, and 6 hold mount up the rad. I'm sure there are more here and there.....

Re: How many Zip Ties hold your crunchy piece together??

I had around 200 in my zx6r, but I just totaled it so I need a lot more than zip ties. I had probably over a hundred just in my upper, no joke! That's what happens when you crash 20 times a summer.

Re: How many Zip Ties hold your crunchy piece together??

I've prolly got about 40 on my bike, turn signal bulbs are zipped to my uppers, headlight's zipped to my upper, all the fairings are held on with zip ties including the tail section. All my wiring up front is zip-tied, front fender for sure, my right side lower is broken in two so it's stitched together also. I think I have like 4 bolts actually holding any bodywork on, and they're the same bolts that hold the mirrors to the fairing stay
:YEAH

None yet. But my body has strands from a leather whip holding parts of his bike together.

ALOT. Bolts require tools, which menas more crap to carry around. Now for the question that seperates the truly zip-tie addicted from the recreational users.......how many of you have riding clothing repaired with zip-ties? I have a couple pairs of pants with a few plastic stitches.

Re: How many Zip Ties hold your crunchy piece together??

damnnn where has this thread beeen all my life lol. I took off my fairings so i dont have ziptied bodywork anymore... but lets see. I got about 20 on the tail section, i ziptied the tail on instead of using bolts so another 10, back seat is ziptied so add like 6 more, license plate ziptied, fuel petcock, hugger, i dunno I got lots lol :YEAH
