929 question...Is this a good deal??

I was doing some searching online and this dude had a 929 for sale allegedly with only 1500 original miles. The bike also has chrome wheels, tinted screen and a 2bros slip on, frame slider, etc. He claims he bought it from the dealership new 3 years ago with these parts on it that he requested to be put on before he took it home and rode it for that summer and after buddies getting older with kids and dropping their own bikes he decided to park his...
Now he's selling his due to having kids, etc and wants 5700?? Do you think it sounds like an awesome deal or what or too good to be true?? He said the left frame slider and the magneto cover have a scratch on them and I've seen them in pictures and it doesn't look like rash, they are actually very small indeed. He claims it happened being parked tightly in a garage and moving it around his kids bikes, etc.. Should I jump on this deal or what??
only problem he says is the battery needs to be charged everytime he starts it because it's dead from sitting for so long. Is there anything else that could possibly be wrong with it from sitting for so long?? How about the fuel and oil?? What do you guys think?? Sorry for writing a novel but I had to get it out there

Be carefull there are a lot of scams going on right now with bikes and Ebay. Not sure if that's where your looking but have seen friends get taken for some bank.

Hey it's not through ebay but I would be buying the bike in person and not shipping.. How do ya think I could get taken in person having viewed the bike before I bought it??

doesn't sound like anything special....the miles are low...but other than that i could get one for that price down here.....but it's not a bad price....it's fair

Re: 929 question...Is this a good deal??

One time i didn't ride my bike for 2 weeks and the thing was dead

Sounds like a good deal to me. But then again those could be false miles. Maybe he got another odometer with less miles or maybe he rode it without one and just recently through it on?

How old is the guy that is selling it? I bought mine off a 53 yr old man in San Antonio. Man, my sh*t was flawless when i got it

Re: 929 question...Is this a good deal??

not a bad price. check the frame and engine VIN's to see if they match and look the title over.

sounds legit to me but i'd have to see it.

i would say it's a good deal for the miles on it and condition if everything checks out.
