how much oil do you run in you 900? , 929?

My 1999 900rr motor does not have a sight glass thats why i was curious. but i think ill just run 4qts in it. my buddy dave and I still have no clue how much to put in his 929

mine takes 4 quarts......I run 4 1/2 to 4 3/4.......don't have the second fan installed yet so I tend to run hot and change every 1500......ANY ONE WONDER WHY EVERYTHING ELSE ON HONDA IS METRIC AND YET IT TAKES 4 QUARTS AND NOT HOW MANY LITRES?

yo will you measure how far apart the bolt holes are apart that hold the stator on? not side by side but across from one another and let me know asap that will tell me if it works or not! thanks!

just went to go check and I apparently mispoke....I have an extra clutch cover......and just for the info.......I have no bolts in the middle of the cover, and 9 around the perimeter......don't sound like it will work.
