help with gixxers brakes

do you have to change the front forks on a gsxr 600 to fit the 1000 brakes?
i know that they are just better forks but im cheap. can it be done. i know it doesnt work with 900rr to 954 brakes.

01-03 body style 6/7/1000's all have the same bolt pattern, they bolt right on.

yes i know the 03 1000 is radial mount before some smarta$$ corrects me...

I don't think the 1000 forks are better at all. In fact I'd put my 600 over the inverted anyday. too many blown fork seals with the inverted.

Just by the 1000 calipers w/pads for 01-02, and stick them on. Those calipers are better and work great with the 600 forks

thx guys great info. let me know anything else with brakes....pads, hard setting or softer for long stoppies. i had a real hard setting on my 900 and couldn't stoppie it would just stop too fast help me with my stoppies!!!!/?
