Well after a month and a half of riding on a bald rear tire ive decided i gotta buy a new one. So what do you guys think is the best all around tire, im lookin for somethin not to expencive (like pilots) but i still want it to be somewhat sticky cause im sick of a spinning rear tire while trying to do wheelies. I also want it to last a decent amount of time somewhere around 5,000 miles. So what would you guys suggest?

 

spinning the tire on an f2 trying to wheelie? i dont buy tires anymore i just take the junk ones from my dealership for free. thats my suggestion

 

Wheelies and burnouts = worn out tires. And in my opinion, I don't think you'll get 5,000 miles out of a tire unless you drive around with it in the trunk of your car. As for tires, you can get a battleaxe shipped for $105. Which really isn't that bad. Or you could go to you dealer and see if they have any new ones that can be plugged. We've gotten quite a few this year that have small nail holes in them.

 

I would have to say the best kind of tire for me would a FREE tire ,those are the ones i like the best

i never had a problem with the d207 that i bought new. no burnouts, lasted about 3k miles

 

I like 208s ,they seem to work fine for me, But I def. agree a free tire is the best tire to run

 

see my front tire is a 208, and matchin tires would be nice, but the one on the front seems like a pretty hard compound, so i wasnt sure how it'd run on the back but since i see to ppl said the dunlops that may be what i go with.

 

I just put a 208 on the rear. Compound seems really sticky after scrubbing it in. I just wonder how long it's gonna last even without burn outs. I'm gonna say probably not all that long. I'm sure it's a great tire but i'm kicking my *** for spending that much loot on it! Shoulda went with the dumpster zr's

 

I run Dunlop 208 ZR's front and back...I get about 5,000 from the rear tire and I am just starting to go bald on the front after 11,000 miles. Granted I am not doing wheelies/endos/burnouts all the time, probably 40% of the miles on the tires are from those. I think they are good...and I don't know if you are into cornering as well, but they have a very quick profile (leans easier and faster). My
