StuntWars...Sickest Trick Winner-Fair or Not?????
StuntWars...Sickest Trick Winner-Fair or Not?????
I would like to first off say that Dan from XMX is by far one the best riders out there...if not the best.
However, is it really far to award someone the Sickest Trick winner if they crash and are only able to make one pass? If it were me I would have refussed the money and made them give it to the 2nd runner-up. Once again this is in no way critisizing Dan, but I would just like to see the competitions be judged fairly. That would mean anybody could go out there and pull a duble back flip off the bike and bust and still win the event.?.
It should have been between:
1.) Steve & Cat(Evasive Actions)- Steve in a wheelie while Cat is hanging onto him backwards with her legs not touching the bike at all....it was just plain sick to see
!
2.) The guys that did the 2-up 12 O'clock with one of the guys in the highchair position
.
3.) The guy that skitched off the back of the bike while laying down and draging behing the bike one handed
.

first off, jay you suck...see you in a few! lol
this has been a debate ongoing for a while now...should you earn more points for being ballsy but not executing correctly? i like to go back to fmx...you have to be ballsy, but you also have to have a perfect run...youwont see anyone in fmx crashing and still winning...this debate comes up in the xsba quite a bit and i have talked to thomas for a while about it....i believe that you dont wanna say that if you crash, you will not win, because that will make for a boring event. however, there has to be some merit for execution...
so in my opinion...there should def be points awarded for doing a new trick and maybe not quite having it perfected (but then again that is what practice is for and you should be having MINT runs in the comps), but there should be more emphasis placed on performing difficult tricks well (execution)
what is worth more:
a trick that earns a 10 for difficulty and a 3 for execution..or...
a trick that earns a 7 for difficutly but a 10 for execution.?
lately the former has been taking the cake, imho....i'm in favor of the latter statement....execcution is key.

first off.... everyones **** was rockin
execution wasnt the only thing judged.... style and difficulty were too
there is no possible way to ever make everyone happy with a judged event, I have been a judge at some events where the person who won wasnt my favorite.
Thats why you gotta have your **** tight, you do an extremely difficult trick with mad style but dont execute perfectly, or you do a semi difficult trick perfectly but it looks plain... who should win??
thats why there is always a few judges who each judge a different aspect of the run basically each judge pics thier #1
but if somone is picked #2 by every judge but never picked #1 they can still win
If Jeff Gordon comes in 1st at 5 races but comes in 10th at the other 5 while Dale Earnhardt jr comes in 2nd at every race, Dale will win the championship
now imagine each race is a judge
its hard being a judge... thats why no one ever wants to do it. Yall are more than welcome to step up at the next event and be a judge as opposed to just complaining about it online

If you can crash and still win.
Then the guy with the reality bike should have won.
That ape hanger , then slide down and then run
up and get on again. that is sick...
Then he does a wheelie with one handle bar..
Off the Hizzle...fo' Shizzle..
Stuntwars was the Bomizzille

. Consuming the opinions/knowldege of others will make for better judgement
. Well it sounds to me like StuntWars was a pretty laid back competition, more about fun than actually winning. So in a case like that, I'd say it's more about what was a bigger crowd pleaser, not what trick was better executed. So I'd say what ever Dan from XMX did, if it made the crowd scream the loudest, or made the most people say "Holy ****!" he should get it hands down. But I wasn't there, nor have I even seen any pics, so I know nothing of the atmosphere, or what went on.

Almost all the tricks are pretty sick!!! This was my first comp and first skitch w/only 1 hand, just glad I didn't hit the wall! Props to all the stunters!

First off Josh from Darkside is my boy and his one hand skitch was hot, the crowd was almost as loud during his run as they were during Dan's. You know this is SICK! Judges made the right call.
Just my 2 cent
I saw all of the riders, but i left right before the winner was anounced.
So, what did Mark from MPZ get? cause my personal opinion is that he should have won!
I know that there is several americans doing circles right now but i was on the opposite side of the big crowd and to see the reaction of the stands when Mark made a complete revolution was pretty sweet!
but i guess it did take him 3 or 4 trys to get it, that is probably why he was not in the top three!
And i think they are all pretty laid back comp's, that is what it is all about!
peace, Micah

Props to all the crazy freaks that entered the comp. In my opinion, the one handed skitch should have won, followed by the two up twelve, and then Crazy Dans loopty loop. Dude doing the circle would have placed to if it didn't take four or five tries. Thats my .02. peace
u should put the vid clip up so every 1 can actually see how ****** sick it was....the pic doesn't really do much
I'm not a stunna so I don't know if it counts but from the spectators view: Its seems like it would be really hard for someone to judge a "sickest trick" cause it wasn't sickest burnout sickest wheelie or even sickest skitch.... so u really can't say what the "sickest trick" was....cause all of that **** was sick!!!
But personally I'd have to say Dans performance was the sickest....Not only was the trick sick as ****!!!I mean come on a switchback burnout...Sick!!! But the ending also...even though he crashed...who crashes like that and gets right up? I think bike doin a backflip was just the icing on the cake...and definately a crowd pleaser
