i wrecked for the first time 2 sundays ago and now i'm starting to feel better i clutched my bike up in 2nd and all i remember is seeing my friend in front of me and then blacking out but my friends that were behind said i carried a wheelie for a little bit then i scrapped going 50-60mph and it tossed my *** and legs off the bike while my hands stayed on so i guess i did a superman and then let go and did a indo on my face for 5-10 feet and then my body came down and i rolled for a while. I walked away but went to the hospital where i broke my left big toe and got 16 stitches in my face and road rash all over my face and shoulders, arms and knees. this **** sucks my bike needs all new plastics headlight tailight and new wheels. Just thought i'd let ya'll know bout the first wreck. no helmet with shorts on. My friends thought i broke my neck landing headfirst but i got lucky. i'll posts pics when i get them back later

 

hey man i know how it is. I had my first wreck about 6 weeks ago, i looped a wheelie at about 55ish mph, i had my jacket and helmet on, but the pavement ate through my gloves and my jeans. I got six stitches in my knee, it still isn't right. If i stand up for a long time, it gets fluid under it and starts hurting. It sucks. Glad to hear that you are ok though. I'm just glad i wasn't on my zx-9r when it happened.

yep know what ur saying both my knees are ****ed i t hurts to do anything and it's trying to heal so my skin is pulling real tight around my knee and it burns all the time i get like 3 hrs of sleep a night from the pain i can't wait till it gets better wish the best for ya.

 

yeah that's my daughter in the pic, i know i should wear gear and i have it to but i just went for a 10 min. ride and i saw my cousin that never seen me wheelie so i pulled it up a couple of times but i never was about wheeling or doing endos but it got the best of me my daughter is more important to me than anything so it slowed me down for sure. lesson learned this road rash **** sucks

 

i just had a bad crash too a cuple months age. my leg is still in a cast cause i shattered it. highsiding isn't as fun as it looks

be safe man, if not for anyone, do it for your kid(s). my brother is in iraq and he has two of them. id hate to have to step up to the plate cause something horrible happened to him

I have full leathers and I hardly wear them cause they're so difficult to get on and take off, I know I should wear them more but man you gotta at least wear a helmet and gloves.

I know everyone else has given you crap but heres the deal you need to make with yourself, and wife ect............you get the bike, but, EVERY time you ride you need to put ALL the gear on.......I have 3 kids myself, and am the bread winner but, we don't chince out on the gear, it does not matter that a new pair of gloves and jacket costs more than the new mod you really want, get em and wear em...........I come home drenched in sweat, but that jacket don;'t come off..... YOUR BIGGEST JOB EVERY DAY IS TO GET HOME SAFE TO YOUR KID!!!!!!!! I also recomend short and long term disa bility insurance.......its not expensive......that way when you are laid up you still have money to come in.......you gotta use that huge cranium on your neck.

I've had two 50-60mph wrecks. First one was falling off a pavement ski. ( i have that video in the stunt videos and reviews forum) I had my jacket, helmet, and gloves. All i got was rash on my ***. The second one was looping a combo wheelie. (jumping from the pegs to a tank wheelie) The only gear i had that time was helmet and gloves. That one was suppose to be a 10 minute warm up before we started recording. If i could go back i would have definitely threw the jacket on.
I ride without a jacket most of the time. But i try to wear it when i am hauling 70mph plus on coasters. I'm sure that you learned by now that gear is a MUST.

1st week is the worst in the shower and mutiple wake-ups in the middle of the night. Hope you get well soon.

I got an 04 gsx r 1000 and i've looped it twice. 1st time I was doing a sit down at 80 mph and it came up too high and I didn't use the rear brake. Broken wrist - 8 screws, 4 pins, two rods after surgery - left hole in the knee with the bone exposed, and torn muscles in the shoulder. I was out for a month and got back on my bike and a couple of weeks later looped it again doing a sit down in 1st gear with only shorts and a wife beater on. 40% of my skin is hamburger now and it hurts like hell to take a shower. Can't get a decent night's sleep either. Wear the gear and always cover the back brake. It would have saved my ***. Keep on stunting though. Learn from your mistakes. Peace out! :YEAH
