Special No Thanks To...

the members of this community that have consistently used poor judgement during the judging of competitions. we all know judging is one of those things to quarrel over, but at some point here we need to fix this **** cuz it's getting out of hand.

during the stuntlife competition yesterday I was ****ing robbed in the sickest trick contest by the worst judgment I've witnessed in my days attending stunt events. the judges (shugga, r6bbie, dan jackson, kc50) favored a watchtower (you know that 2mph bar trick!?) over 6 highchair scrapes in less than 200ft. !!!??? even the winner (toast roc) told me it was bull ****.

as a rider that risks life and limb to practice and execute these stunts, I am disappointed and discouraged that so much effort and talent can be shunned by haters. I came to that contest to win money so I can pay rent. I pulled off a trick that has not been seen and requires a hell of a lot of talent and juevos to pull off, only to be told by almighty Shugga that he never saw a watchtower and thought it was a new trick. is this the same man that makes a living off stunt riding in general, yet he doesn't even ride? wtf kind of **** is that? he gets a paycheck from this community time and time again, yet can stay up to par on what tricks have/have not been done. having r6bbie judging a contest is like having a kkk member as a juror, he's a cheerleader that can't even get a bike to balance point. and for his being present during said judgement he got ****ing choked, like a little bitch. others will be choked, maybe even hit, and they will all suffer atleast $300 in punitive damage.

I'd like to say a special no thanks for continuing to discourage riders w/ this ****ing monstrosity. It's getting old quick.

let's here your thoughts...

Re: Special No Thanks To...

diddo on what Scott said, was it a normal watchtower or variation. My boys Guardian is more impressive than a highchair scrape, but not a normal watchtower. thats a lot of scraping in 200ft, props to ya, wish we could have been there.

Re: Special No Thanks To...

My Personal opinion is:

In Degrees of difficulty "0" being the easiest "10" being the hardest.

Watch tower would take a "3"

High Chair Scrape or touch & Go more than once specially on 200' , would take a "7" ( PS: Unless its a Stock One Million Miles Long, Freestyle Ingenuity Bar. Those are too easy to touch, But would still score higher than a watchtower ).

Good Speed High Chair Drag to Park like you had done on that video clip "8" or "9" because of irregularitys on the ground or perhaps slants that could make it somewhat unstable & put you on a sticky situation.

I agree with you on that decision being misjudged. Sorry to hear that!!!

Good Luck!!!!!

Manny

Re: Special No Thanks To...

I have met Shugga, and am good friends with a few people who know him well. I dont think he would try to make light of anything you did. Since I was not there, I dont know what he thought was better about the watchtower over your highchair scrapes. Could it have been down to how smooth the other guy was compaired to you? Could they have gone by the crowds reaction? I am not trying to cause problems, but trying to see what could have caused this. I know that crowds of non-stunters dont know as much about what is hard to do, and the judges may have been going by a crowd reaction. I was riding with a guy who was doing coasters on the freeway, and I did a few not very impressive sitdown wheelies (just wheelies, nothing spceial, ok, one handed) and when we took an exit and stopped at a light, some guys in a truck stopped beside us. They thought I was the ****, and the other guy was ok. They had no idea what was hardest to do, and thought only of what looked cooler. Most crowds being this way, the watchtower may have seemed harder. Im their eyes you were wobbling back and forth. I dont know how they score these competitions, but I would think alot is based on the reaction of the crowd. If you have vid, I would like to see it, 6 or more scrapes in 200 feet is bad azz. Highchair at that...
