I put a FI cage on my bike. I do alot of stoppies, and I've been trying one handed lately. Well the bike hits hard sometimes and it hits the cage. Anybody else have this problem or know of a fix?? FI cage rocks though!!

 

buy a cage that doesnt go under your bike and you wont have that prob

 

my FI cage hits my ramp when I load it in my truck that's it. Maybe check your suspension settings

 

Or, If you are just slamming it down, that could pose problems also.

 

thats the real prob right there. you gotta ease off the front brake and bring it down smooth. you are probly coming to a stop with your back wheel in the air & just letting it fall down

Like he said check ur settings, mine very rarely hits unless I'm loading it or jumping a set of RR tracks

 

my fi cage scapes like a mother f*ucker through the twistys also

 

my 905 doesn't scrape. goes through the bike rather than underneath. I dunno though, my cage makes my bike roll and destroys my upper and faring stay. It's really annoying.

I need a metal front end!

powers any good? i've heard a lot about them.

 

powers stuff is real nice. i use there stuff and everyone i ride with uses it. just the shins wack the cages sumtime

 

yea my buddy has a freestyle ingenuity cage on his 900rr. and I smack my knees on the slider parts all the time. sucks. All black and blue and kills. I'm definately not getting one of those..

 

check out the pix on the reckless methods forum of the cages that they get built for them. awesome quality just hit up on of them guys and they will set it up for u if u wanna go that way on gettin a cage

Tighten up the spring preload a bit...that will help. Also, like it was said...ease off the brake and let the backend down easier. I have no probs with my FI cage.
