Re: 905 cages

depends on how it bent.. and just becuase its a little bent, does that mean its bent to the point to were it broke.. or just bent?

they are designed to bend and flex and take the blunt of a wreck. ive had 5 905 cages in the last 7 months ive gotten pretty used to how they work....

ive had some cages wher they bent so bad we had to remove them with a hacksaw... but that kinda ruins the cage... ive had some good expirence though when my cage bent hard to the left i put the bike on the 12bar and pushed in over on the left and it helped bend it back towards the right...

another thing i did that helped once was remove the rear bolt... the top rear engine mount bolt. i was having a prob with the cage taking out my oil filter constantly, and one the one cage i had, after i removed the bolt it pushed the cage forward and bend the connecting bar towards the headers some and gave me the clearance i needed...

there is alot of force when and if the bike just slams over from 12, aaraon will straighten it for you just give him a call.

Re: 905 cages

I woundnt recommend trying beinding it back, I broke mine recently, but theres not much you can do. Try falling evenly on the left/right side to even it out!

i know he will, this is my second cage, i just dont have the time to ship it out there to get re welded. weather in wisconsin changes by the minute, so when you get a good stretch you have to roll with it, besides its a fairly simple weld and i have the equipment to fix it.
