will a 2003 gsxr 1000 motor fit in a 2001 gsxr 1000 frame?

It should, same frame....my buddy threw a 750 motor in a '01 600 and it fit...the same principle should apply to yours....

its a completely different frame. im wondering if the motor mounts are the same?

Motor mounts are def same....You will need the wiring harness, dash and ecu from the new one though...Oh and not to sure about the airbox.....

should bolt right in bro, or at least be close enough, lol. But Smurf is right, you'll need the electronics for the 03, im not sure what is compatible between the two...

are you saying that the motor mounts are different?!?!

as far as electronics and injection goes, i believe they are different, but it should bolt in... but i definately could be wrong...

Guys the motor mounts line right up, I have measured them before...
Like I said 03 electronics and dash required....03 throttle bodies...
Just not sure about the clearance between 02 tank and 02 airbox...

03 forks fit on perfect on an 02 as well..
