Officers/those who helped....The officewr didn't hold his part of the deal....

Remember this link?

https://www.stuntlife.com/forums/sho...highlight=cops

-----------------------------------------

Well, I went to the student affairs office etc and the ticket was dropped. The chief sent a letter to the office and when I spoke to the person in charge of personally disposing the ticket by given orders of campus authorities much higher and said from what he read, the ticket was dropped and for me to not show up in court. I called the court house and spoke to the county clerk and she said she saw nothing. There was nothing for me to show up etc.

Well, what the hell, I go to my mail fukking box today and what do I see? I see a letter with the Dept of Public Safety. I open it and my license will be suspended starting on the 13th of June. So in a few days.....

WTF!!!

According to the letter it gives instructions on who to contact for my surender of my license etc.

Their reasoning.....
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
REASON: NON-PAYMENT OF COURT FINE AND COSTS
STATUATORY AUTHORITY: TITLE 47,O.S.,SECTION 6-206 (C) AND
TITLE 22, O.S.,SECTION 983 (C)

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

So what the hell do now? I mean what's wild is I NEVER SHOWED UP TO COURT which would mean I would have a warrant out for my arrest. But I checked my record and I got pulled over about 1 wk ago and had no warrant then and turned out to be just a misunderstanding between a park ranger and myself and was let go as we both were on good terms when the officer arrived and left.

So what do you see or recommend I do? I mean, I felt it was bad enough for me to take it to the student affairs and have them "do whatever they did" make the officer and the chief rid the ticket. But he didn't show any compassion or understanding to me AT ALL.

Now, from what I understand that this officer has had complaints on him and the student afairs already knew of this guy. This may get the officer fired as he disobeyed direct orders. I am afraid that this officer will try to do something illegal and ?????

What should I do?

Thanks for your help guys. It is much appreciated as the posts you replied in the link way up above in this post.

What would you or should I do?

First thing I would do is get dropped off at your local police station and try to turn yourself in. Tell them you may or may not have a warrant out for your arrest and if you do you'd like to peacefully surrender, they will be kind, appreciative, and helpfull.

I skipped court once, unknowingly just like you, and had three warrants out (three counts against me in court) for my arrest for SIX FREAKING MONTHS without my knowing of it. My buddy gets pulled over and they run my name and serial and come up with a pair of chrome bracelets.

I'd worry about the possiblity of getting arrested before I worry about anything else. Get it out of the way now.

You probably won't get bail from the court magistrate because of your skipping court, so get ready for a 2 or 3 day stay in the local slammer awaiting a hearing.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news dude, but that's how they run **** in Mass, trust me I know.

I got picked up on a friday night and I was 17, so they sent me to the Dept of Social Services Kiddie Jail in Taunton Mass, it was horrible. I spent 3 days waiting for my hearing in a freakin kiddie jail with some really ****ed up charactors, bad news.

Anyways, go turn yourself in and it will look good on your part. Good luck to you, Erik

But why would they send this if I had a warrant? I mean it only makes sense. From what I understand is they send you notice to appear in court if you have a warrant.

Something is real messed up. You see I got pulled over a few days ago and the cops ran myself and a friend. Then they let me go as I had no warrants....

I dunno dude, I never got any notice to apear in court, my court date just came and went without me ever knowing about it. And the warrant was issued without anyone telling me and six months rolled by without me knowing.

I suggest you call the police dept and ask if they can run your name again, and then if it does come back positive, discuss your best options, like surrendering yourself

I wrecked my zx7 in october of last year, a cop wrote me a ticket while I was in the ambulance, on a backboard, never even saw the cops face, i had to sign an "x" cause i couldn't realy move, I completely forgot the ticket ever existed, I got a notice in the mail that was my license suspension, and the very next day received a "notice to defendant of arrest warrant", if you go and PAY THE TICKET, they will drop the warrant right then and there, you'll still have to pay to get your license reinstated (100$ if you do it before 30 days and 150$ after, in my state atleast). Tickets suck, good luck thought, and do whatever you have to, to not go to jail - county sucks

Just go get locked up for a couple days, its not that bad as people make it to be. Anything but caltrans. Free meals and place to sleep. Don't talk to no one if your only going to be there a couple days. Don't let no one take your food too. If someone trys to take your food, take that plastic fork they give you to eat with and stab the ****er in the eye with it no matter how big the dude is. Then sit back down right away and continue to eat. Make sure the pig don't see do this or its a couple more days. Anyway, no one will **** with after that, they will be afraid of losing an eye, and you will make friends that way.

why dont you just call the court??? sounds like the way to go to me. a girl will answer, BE NICE. she will tell you all you need to know and maybe even give you some legal advice. do not go to the cops & turn yourself in. YOU DONT HAVE A WARRANT and the cops dont care about your ticket, they want to make money.
