How did you figure out what angle to wrap that can? I'm confused is the can holding the tape on or the tape holding the can on?

 

if you look close there is the part coming from the footpegs. all that broke was the part that wraps around the canister and bolts to the mounting bracket. i ordered a new one but it won't be here for a while and i can't not ride

No way dude, duct tape is considerably better for mounting exhaust. If (when) you use zip ties, the vibrating will wear through them alot faster than the tape.

 

I might have to switch to duct tape. I'm running plumbing strap around the can, with zip ties holding it to the pass peg.........
