dreyer motorsports in indy though, i go there quite a bit. i'm gonna go talk to this kid july 3rd...maybe i'll punch him in the face and show him how to do a 104foot stoppie on a 50.
he might school me on doing 50 wheelies...but where does that get him...i'm sure it can't get him all those sponsors, he has to do something besides htat like drag race or something. i mean VP racing fuel? for riding a 50? and he dosen't even get coverage anywhere to people that would use it....little kids won't use VP racing fuel.

my point to the thing is, with everyone out there doing way more than this kid, i do'nt see how he makes money. do these sponsors not know about people like dan jackson, jason britton, etc.....people that can put on a real show. I'm going to see what this kid's show is all about when he's here at our track but i don't see him pulling much of a crowd with just that 50 seeing how we are out our track and do intermission shows with full stunt teams.....and yes, we have some guys that can do some crazy stuff on 50's. Only thing i can see is he would attract a lot of elemetary aged kids....younger crowd.

The kid seems to be doing something right, in all honesty. Sounds like he's got some experience, for a kid that age. Who knows, maybe he's just a good showman
: Re: Anyone ever hear of this kid?
this community, called stunters, has no clue how to act professionaly or look professional...he has his isht together, we do not.
props to him to doing what he wants and getting someone else to foot the bill, although i doubt his sponsors do too much out of pocket...how much can it cost to sponsor a kid for fiddys and a big bore XR??
he is local. he is professional. his dad works for a motorcycle mag, i'm sure he is connected.

i guess i'll have to see

Would you go to a comedy club where it is just an open mic and you get 10 people on the stage all trying to tell jokes or would you go to see the guy with a routine?
Plus, you have to remember, no matter how big you think Stuntlife is, Stuntlife aint ****. Most people that go to a show that any given stunt team performs at most likely has never heard of Stuntlife. Nor have they ever attempted stunting a streetbike themselves. They are there to be entertained. Thats it. And to keep them entertained you have to keep their attention. How do you keep their attention with guys flying up and down the track in both directions? It is tough to do.
TH was at the first Stuntlife comp. we were put together last year and you saw how difficult it was to keep the crowd happy and in the stands. Team events got little attention, especially the am's. The pro's got a little better reception but still not nearly what the individual freestyle got.
Give this kid a break. You cant hate him because he did things right.

We did a show with Craig Jones in Europe for almost 17,000 people. Craig has the most polished 1 man show you have ever seen - he even talks to the crowd though a mic while he's riding - it's pretty impressive - kinda gay, but impressive.
Anyway, we absolutely rocked him in terms of crowd response in EVERY show. Reasons most commonly given as to why: Chaos, attitude, and style.
I'd say in the last 4 years, after every show we have done 99.9% of people that said they liked our show said so because we have 6 guys to watch and we ride well together - people like "somewhat" controlled chaos.
I do agree though that this "wheelie wizard" kid should be given some props for doing what he likes and being seemingly successful at it..... even though he is style is pretty gay by our terms.
