Brakelines Steel Braided or Kevlar?

I was wondering what the difference was between Kevlar brakelines and steel braided lines. I was given a set of Goodridge Kevlar lines front and back, and also a pair of Galfer steel braided front lines from a friend. Whats the difference, which is better and which ones should I put on?

i thought they were pretty much the same, but i just got kevlars for my front of my 929, and i hate them. they are pointless. it feels just like my stock lines. I rock stainless line on my handbrake and i love the stainless. gives it a stronger feel.

It might take a couple weeks to break in. The inner fluid tube has to expand to the steel/kevlar braids. Once this happens they are then reinforced and have the firm feeling that is desired.....Might wait and see what happens before you take them off.

nah, they are used. that's the only way i'd buy them cause i don't like goodrige very much. I prefer galfer so i'd buy galfers if i bought new. these are just some left over from another bike i had and i figured i would try them out.

Kevlar breakes down in the sun too. Run the steel, can't get any better!

If your brakes dont fade, I wouldnt bother with the effort to put on the braided lines........As far as feel, there isnt really a difference.
