Thing is, waivers won't stand up if anything gets taken to court. You can't sign away your rights. Seen it happen on numerous occasions, but it will help.

That's bullshit. It used to be that your word was good enough. Now a written paper signed by you isn't good enough.

Not exactly true, people can contract another party's liability away if waiver is drafted correctly and it will stand up in court, of course it depends alot on your state's contract laws and public policy, but the majority will uphold a contract waiver..............I'm not blowin smoke I'm in law school and have spent significant research on the subject and also will be publishing an article dealing with waivers and such

Re: I need a waiver form!!!

For every single contract signed or waiver signed I can find a lawyer that will get you out of it. Plain and simple this is how crazy our legal system has gotten these days. It just takes the right jury and the right judge.

Plus for any waiver to be valid in court you better have an attorney draft one up for you. Every city has different laws and regulations on how waivers are to be drafted and signed. If you do not use a lawyer to draft you a waiver you might as well not even waste the ink.

Yea that's a good point, the only thing that is good is you can tell whoever got hurt, "hey you signed a waiver and every now and then they'll just be like **** it" and not try to sue.

Re: I need a waiver form!!!

It's awesome that you're gonna get a waiver, to at least put the owner's mind to ease.

I wasn't trying to sound like a complete ******* by saying what I said(sorry if it came off that way), but from my experiences and stories that I have been told waiver's aren't 100% safe. But as you said, that's not what you're going after, and I doubt that any stunters would sue a business owner that allowed them to use their lot, those are only a handful of people, why ruin it?

Wish ya the best.
