Slowing them down!

Ok I am mastering the 2nd gear wheelie, basicly the way I am doing it is run to bout 55 then slip the clutch to bring it up!

This works fine, but I am then at about 80+ and running out of road!

Whats the easist way to slow it down? (dont just say brake! ) or to start a slow 2nd gear?

Cheers

Well it seems you're not at the balance point, so first thing you do is find that. When you reach the balance point you won't gain speed. Once there you can tap the brake to slow it down. Be careful...

Does the bike feel different at the balance point?

dude on my R6 i roll in second gear, with my left foot on the passanger peg, going about 15mph rev up to about 5000-6000RPM and lean back and the faster you get it to the balance point the slower you will go.

balance points on the R6 are pretty high and very small area so its hard to get it at first but i am sure you will find it if you try that way

If you are running out of gear it is not balanced out. Once it is balanced it feels a little different....little lighter. Once you are there (and if you are riding HYW wheelies) just give it a LITTLE more gas so it starts to get on the back side. Once you are there you slightly let off the throttle and it will slow down. You have to be confortable rocking a fully balanced out wheelie first before I would recommend trying to slow it down.

Once you find the balance point you will feel your engine not working so hard to keep the front wheel up.
