This is not a poll about do you usually wear your helmet I'm asking if you've ever ridden more than 5 miles without it on any single occasion.

 

I had just took off my helmet after I scraped/corkscrewed when we heard a police siren. My friend was holding my helmet and he hopped in his car and took off as did I. I rode a few miles down the road and hid out behind a little podunk post office. Thats the only time ever.

 

yea in daytona. i do slow **** without a helmet too.

 

I used to ride without a helmet a lot when I was on my Honda CB200 cause I couldn't afford to buy one, I usually wore at least a skateboard helmet though cause I was normally just riding around my neighborhood.

The night I got my HJC helmet I lowsided my 200 in a parking lot cause of sand and had it not been on I probably would have been scraped up pretty bad. Only time since then was today after I finished replacing my fork seals I took it out to compress the forks and see if they were leaking any.

One thing I noticed when I wasn't wearing my helmet was that the gearbox is loud, I didn't realize it made that much of a clunk with my helmet on.

 

always wear my lid... i cant think of any reason not to...

 

Never ride without it

 

always wear my bucket, it just feels really weird without it. I rode for a couple weeks without one when I bought a new bike a few years back because the helmet I wanted was on backorder. Looking back I don't know how I could stand it. Over 30 mph the wind is loud as hell, your eyes water like crazy, and the motor/tranny noise is loud as hell. Besides, I've had a few minor crashes stuntin where I hit my head, either by the bike or pavement. Without a helmet those would have been serious. Wear your lid

I usually don't wear one unless I have to. I cant see that good with a helmet on, especially for slow stuff. But if I do wear one its a dirtbike helmet.
I know its a bad habit.

 

i have.. sometimes i wear it .. sometimes i dont.. depends on where and what is goin on..

 

i started wearing mine everytime since i was hit by a car in '99
but Daytona was an exception

 

I usally always wear my helmet, but.... Ocassionally I have to do a "pimp cruise" normally when going to pick up food or gas before heading out for stuntin. You gotta let the ladies know who is under the helmet. Vanity Kills

 

You should only ride without a helmet if you have nothing to protect.

 

never have, never will. seen too many pics of grapes busted open when not wearing one. i'm scared straight
