Re: GPR Sucks assssssssssssssssss

it's a lot of money, but OHLINS! they're freaking awesome, and i only know of one that leaked, out of like 40 people that have them. and his had like 25,000miles on it.
the Scotts damper is actually made be Ohlins, and stamped by Scotts for the North American market. and it's actually meant for dirt bikes, though i've seen a lot of guys with it on street bikes. i talked to a rep from Ohlins about it, and he says they work on street bikes, though not as well as a top mount Ohlins, since they're for dirt bikes. Arrow is also really good, but again big dollasssss

Re: GPR Sucks assssssssssssssssss

i got a scotts on my 954..... well i had one till it got stolen and i loved it, HOWEVER advise from a few pros told me that doing high speed stoppies and highway wheelies... if ya get a bad tank slapper.. it will actually snap the lil tab off from teh mounting hardware which makes sense. so im lookin for a shaft style damper like a hypro or a ohlins

Re: GPR Sucks assssssssssssssssss

hmm.....ya, i know some guys that use them love them. i bought a scotts cause that's what everyone recommended and a couple hard 12 crashes and now mine blew out. i loved it before then but i found that rotory like gpr and scotts have more play in them than rod type dampers. I loved my scotts but i hate the mounting hardware, the little screws strip out really easily which makes it hard to remove if you have to tighten your steering head. i think i might switch to hyperpro, but the drawback on that is that i can't use my mirror brace with the top mount hyperpro. either way, hard decision.

does it just thread through the bracket and rest in the slot in the triple? so basically it just takes place of the gay *** pin that comes in it. i cant really make it out in that pic.
