94 900rr question

94 900rr question

ok i ride a 94 900rr and the end of last summer i was rollin endows about 10 feet. i have rode a couple times this summer and i cant even get the rear tire off the ground now! the brake leaver seems like i have to pull it 10 times harder than i did last year kinda like my braking power has "faded" away what should i do to fix this the pads are good and so are the roaters well thanks for the help! :YEAH

Completely flush the lines and resevoir with new fluid. That should help, since you are bleeding them anyway.

i am glad you asked because they are leaking pritty dam bad now both seals are blown out

pads are junk then, once you get fork oil on them, they are done no matter how much you have left of them. you'll need to replace them. i just did this on mine and i got all my brakes back to full.

humm....that makes sence so if i change my pads my brakes back to full hut arnt they just going to get fork oil on them again??

Yeah so change your fork seals and clean the oil off the forks and brake components. That should solve that.

I dont no. HAHA. Ive never blown a fork seal on my 929 yet but have done it on a dirtbike. Not that hard to do by yourself (on the dirtbike thinking the streetbike forks are not that much different just heavier duty) but if you run into a problem definately go to your dealer.

they aren't that hard if you've done them before. they are a little challenge though.

i think it's like 40$ a fork here at our shop to get them changed. definately just take the forks in, saves on labor hours.
