hand brake set-up

Is there anybody that will share what they have done for their hand brake/thumb brake set-up with use of single caliper.

Re: hand brake set-up

Supposedly you can get a special banjo bolt from GPTech or Speigler that allow you to run the hand or thumb brake with the stock caliper.

My boy Curt(JackassRR) tried that and the fitting you have to use flexes too much and you can't get a good lever pressure. I think Tim or one of the other guys from POB had that setup and busted his *** at Stuntwars because of not enough pressure.

Re: hand brake set-up

2 things

1 ..the lever that they used was for a dirt bike and uses min spirits not brake fluid witch is 10 times more harsh on the O-rings in it

2.on the GSXRs ther is only one screw holding the res on and ther is 2 one the honda /nessen ones . thats wher a lot of the flex comes from .

GOOD LUCK.............

Andy, call Ronnie. Him and Tony have a hand brake already built for his Gixxer from what he told me Saturday. He told me a little about it; sounds sweet

Re: hand brake set-up

actually, Ronnie made me start thinking about it. I talked to him about it on saturday night too, so I think I'm gonna try what everyone else is saying. GPTech has the fitting, so I'm gonna order a couple tomorrow. If anyone else is interested, I'll post up after I try it.

If I were wanting info like that i would probably go to their website, read about it, then ask them for more details if i need it....seems to be better than asking people that don't build the things.
