Hello, I have a question for everbody my buddy has a 1995 honda cbr 600 when he got the bike it had a vance and hines pipe on it, and from the day he bought it around 85 or so it cuts out like someone shut the fuel off and then it picks up no top end power. I think it needs jetted so I just ordered the kit for him but I no all you guys have alot more input and I would appericate anything thank you...

 

i dont think its the jetting at all. my bike was insevere needing of jetting. free reving it would rev. but under load it wouldnt rev past 5gs at all in first gear. 2nd was no second. my bike was so rich that it had to be leaned out. my bike consists of full D&D, ignition advancer and stage 2 jetting. if you can get upl to around 85 mph. i had to take my to a shop and they put it a dyno to see my A/F ratio and it was off the charts. in the higher speeds you have a valve controlled by the speedo that lets in more air ot the box. if this isnt working properly it wont run right. this looks like the deer whistles in the front of the bike that go to hte back of hte air box. the valve is in the box where the hoses join up. take alook at that to see if it is clogged.

 

Okay well I did see that part it has a wire on the end of it and I did not no what the hell it was he spedo does not work but rpms do. Is there a way I can test that? Thnx alot..
