New Street rider.......

A good friend of mine has been riding dirt bikes for at least 10 years and he is gonna buy a bike in the next few weeks. He is a great dirt rider and he rode an F2 for the last month of the season last year, but he is going to get a bike of his own and he wanted me to ask you all for your ???? He is thinkin either an F4i or 929..........

Re: New Street rider.......

um i would say go with the f4i, i should be plenty of power for him and its a great bike. only the 929 if he can keep his head but i would sway to the 600

Re: New Street rider.......

ok dude just because you can barely handle a 600 doesn't mean other people cant. I would say if he is pretty decent go with the 929. if he has rode mx for 10 years he could easily go up to a 929 and like it. just skip the step of getting a 600 and then having to sell and getting a literbike.

Both are great bikes. He would be well off with either choice.

Re: New Street rider.......

Thanks for the input all. I told him that he should get the 929 and worst case he can grow into it rather than growing out of a 600 after 1 season. I would be pissed if I bought a bike and rode it for 1 season or less then wanted a more powerful bike and had to go through selling the 600 and then going out and riding a bunch of 929's, when I couldve just bought the 929 to begin with. Just my

P.S.: What do you all think about maybe tellin him to go with a 900??

Re: New Street rider.......

900 if its a 919 its an awsome bike. not near as strong of a frame as the 899 but its still tough as hell. pretty decent first bike. alot of all around power but not as twitchy as the 929 and alot easier to find parts. i'm buying a 99 9000rr and i think they are very good stuntbikes, easy to gear, and fit pretty well for bigger people.
