Cops and riders/stunters...whats their problem.

Ok. What i am about to say (especially if there are any LEO's on the board) may **** some people off, I gotta get it out there though. After seeing whats been going on lately with all these problems with police and riders this is something that needs to be addressed. First i need to address a few things.

1) They never bother us at our stunt spot, its private property, the owners are cool with us. So that doesn't involve this.

2) This doesn't apply to all cops, just the ones in the areas i will mention.

3) If you are friends with cops, thats fine. Chances are though, when they are on duty, they are a completely different person.

Now, what the hell is cop's problems with us (riders/stunters)? I just don't see why they bother to waste there time, value tax payers money, and do not allocate their resources in a better way and continue to bust our *****. I have the utmost respect for inner city police. My house at home is in a quiet suburban town (this is where the problem lies), but i have an appt. by my college surrounded by some of the worst ghettos in the US (newark, e. orange, irvington, etc.).

Inner city cops have their priorities straight. They are concerned with the well-being of individuals as well as society. Cops by my appt. are NOT concerned with riders/stunters, traffic violations. Rather, they do what a real cop should do. Keep drugs, violences, and other TRUE CRIMES AGAINST SOCIETY to a minimum. Now cops in my town, and areas surrounding my home in the suburbs...START ACTING LIKE A COP. Quit the BS with pulling over riders, and teenage kids going 8 mph over the limit. CONCENTRATE ON ALL THE WANNA BE GHETTO SUBURBAN KIDS WHO ARE VANDALIZING THE TOWN AND CAUSING REAL TROUBLE.

I just don't understand how what we do is detrimental to society? They waste our time, as well as theirs, plus tax money, pulling us over for stupid crap. Don't you think their time would be better spent actually bringing justice to individuals who truly harm society?

I am sorry, i have pulled over in the past, told the truth, that i didn't do anything, and got ****ed for it. Well ya know what, you wanna waste your time (trying) to pull me over. I am done stopping.

Like I said in another post, all I learned from pulling over is to not pull over again.

Bro I feel ya... Where I got my tickets was the ghetto.... It was where I grew up... They so could have been out arresting a gang banger or some other person.... I really hate the fact how they are...

I do have alot of friends that are Detroit City cops... and yes they are a differnt person when they are on duty... But they explained to me why and I am cool with that... And I understand... And they have helped me numerous times get out of tickets...So I am thankful to my friends...

But to those cops that are *** holes because they got picked on in high school.... theres no reason to take it out on everyone else....

And to those guys that are cops now.... that I use to beat your *** in high school... Im Glad ... I think that you probably are still a bunch of **** and I could wope there *** any time of the week if it wasnt for the badge and gun...... The only reason why I say all of this right here (right or wrong) is because I know one of the cops names thats on the bottom of my ticket.......

Sorry if you are a good cop then none of this applies to you and you should not be offended!!!

I understand man. I agree somewhat with cops in suburban areas having nothing to do. How bout the highschool in my town? Bunch of wanna be ghetto white kids. They push weed, some coke. How bout they roll up in there and bust that **** up? Or how bout the kids that constantly vandalize the park down the street from me where little kids play? Nah...they would rather bust my rocks for doing 8mph over or no inspection.

Last year I got a careless for down a 3 inch high endo in a parking lot. The cop sat on the bench and lied his *** off and my lawyer proved it. The cop said my bike was at a 45* angle, the back tire was 36" off the ground and I rolled 25'. The parking lot wasn't even 50' long. I spent $1300 and countless hours talking to a lawyer, time off from work, and time in court for what? The judge called my lawyer and to Pros. Att. up to the bench and told them both that there was no way a jury would convict me. I got a year of probation and a $300 fine. (I'm not starting a "that's nothing you should see my record" contest)
The reason I posted all this is so you'll know where I'm coming from. Did you see the dollar amounts? Cause you can bet your *** they did!! I'll admit when I've broke the law and I was wrong, but for christ sakes when we ARE trying to take this **** off the streets and we ARE on private land (parking lots, tracks, driveways) STOP BUSTING OUR *****!!!!
I know a lot of cops, A LOT OF COPS, and most of them are cool, they like the fact we are trying to get this off the streets but it's the few ******** that f#@k it up for THEM when they don't leave us alone and that's when the rebeling starts!

That's enough of my bitching

And you KNOW what their comeback to this will be
"I can't be everywhere and right now you're braking the law and right now I'm here so when I'm done with you.....bla bla bla

That's when you say " I'm sorry I wasn't listening, what did you say?" They hate that

FTP!!! I visit Newark alot and they can give two ***** about the 'little' things the cops around here hassle us about. They've got bigger fish to fry. I guess that's the answer...huh? ****, the cops around here wouldn't last 1 month in Newark. Their ego trips won't get them that far in Newark, and that's all they have. Face it fellas, 90% of the population hates our guts...no matter what l8r.

I'm not gonna say that i side with the cops but 85% of the time when i get pulled over i am breakin the law. I know what I'm doing is wrong but it's fun. From white lining to improper use of a motor vehicle ( a.k.a. wheelie ) they are laws and laws were ment to break. There are good cops and bad cops out there and as long as we do what we do we will get harassed by some of them. Sometimes I get mad for a secound but then I think he is just doing his job. **** I'm the one who was ripping a wheelie down the main ave. But when pulled over I try to act my nicest and it has gotten me out of trouble. " YOUR ABSOUTLY RIGHT SIR, WHAT I DID WAS WRONG. I DONT KNOW WHAT I WAS THINKING AT THE TIME. I know it may sound stupid but I got out of two tickets for my *** kissing........but thats just me

Well guys, all I can say (being the COP that I am) is...We as riders/stunters...YES WE... are breaking the law when we do what we do out on a public road. And yes there has been times when I have done it...got pulled by a State Trooper a few weeks ago, 12 on the Hwy...NO I didn't get a ticket "Thank God", we where doing a show and I went out of the parking lot onto the Hwy and BAM he was sitting across the street watching us. He said "In the parking lot is one thing..Keep it there. ANYWAY...I can't speak for cops everywhere, but most of the guys where I work won't mess with you unless your putting someone (you included) in danger, or what the LAW(State Codes)
considers to be dangerous..I.E.- wheelies, endos and such on a busy roadway. I understand what your saying about cops doing other or better things, but remember that traffic enforcement is a MAJOR part of our jobs, and is where most other crimes are solved. Believe it or not...I live it everyday. I've caught dealers, rapeist, gangbangers, car thiefs, and even murders off just a traffic stop. I'm sorry if some of you have had bad experiences with the Police, and there's nothing I can do about it. I know ALOT of Officers are dicks, but NOT ALL. Just remember, we Cops are people too. Thats all ....

herein lies the problem

most cops are pissed off because we run and bust chops for that reason, this year at a local burger joint we all meet at, they bumrushed the place with 50 cops, beat the crap out of several people, and arrested a few more. the worst part was we were all just eating, we were on our way to the local stunt spot. we proceeded to stunt for hours later at the spot, and werent even hasseled. when the po po finally rolled up he said "its cool just everyone go home."

since when is eatin a hamberger ileagal, and scrapin alright?

If people quit running and new riders would stop trying to do wheelies in stop and go traffic 5 feet behind a minivan and pissing of drivers this wouldn't be a problem

Oh Teddy always the reasonable one.

I don't think anyone here will denie what we do is a little on the crooked side but look what most people are bitchin' about, "the *********"

Loopy, I'm sure you do your job and there are certain things about it that you have to do because it keeps you safe. I can't speak for all but come on, when I disagree with a cop and they cop an attitude because they have a badge it sucks, but that goes with anything. It's the ego trip that pisses me off. My wife has a four year degree too (Social worker) but it doesn't give her the right to treat people like ****.
Like I said before, I have a lot of friends that are cops, and would do anything for them, and vise versa. I guess with them I have respect. Hey I just look at it this way, Hopefully the guy that pulls me over is having a good day and doesn't give me the

I would say this though I wouldn't run, unless I knew they taping "Cops" cause that and a wheelie on TV would be the shizzaz, now there is something for a video

Cops are just people too, their are good ones and bad ones. If you do something wrong on the highway Wheelie, Endo, etc. you get what you deserve. I've been busted when I used to ride the highway, and hated it, always talking about how bad they are. Talk to the cops around your area, ask them what they think about parking lots and ask them to watch you ride. If your not some squid doing 140mph wheelies, 8 out of 10 times they won't care.

I agree with Tim, if people would stop running, and take the consequenses when they get caught, then things would be different. Or do what our team does, and STAY LEGAL, AND OFF THE STREET!

I'm sorry, but i don't see it there either. Maybe if people would stop running cops would stop being ********? Nah, not from my perspective. I got busted, got 6 points worth of tickers (improper passing, careless driving) FOR DOING NOTHING. I was riding with my buddies, who of course were acting like ********, me and my friend nigel fell back. We didn't wanna be apart of it. So they blast on, out of sight. 10 min. of them being out of sight, out comes a cop. Pulls us both over. PINS IT ON US. We told him it wasn't us, didn't believe it. Took it to court, cop ADMITTED it wasn't us doing the wheelies (because someone called in reports of COMPLETELY different colored bikes), BUT.....ready for this....stuck to the summons anyway because he claimed that "we passed a care improperly while he was pulling us over, and drove carelessly as we made it to the side of the road". WE WERE IN THE FRIGGIN RIGHT LANE!

So ya know what? ******** riders ruin it for us...well ******* cops ruin it for other good cops. From now on, the second the cherries go on...peace.

Oh and i never said anything about doing stunts on the road. If you are doing wheelies in the main st. in your town you deserved to be pulled over. Personally, i don't ride on the road anymore. I stunt in a lot. When i get my new bike soon, and i am back on the road, i am not going to stunt it. I am talking about just harassing riders, ever car drivers in general, for petty stuff, 8mph, going through a questionable yellow. etc.

hwys

weve rocked the highways around stl for 3 years now. More recently weve taken it to the lots but we are still on the hwy 50% of the time. there has been times 8 - 10 bikes up riding 50 - 70 mph. cop Rolls up I pull over every time. EVERY time the cop askes me "How many times you run from the police?" I tell him never. They run my Numbers see no evading on my record and let me go. this must have happened 15 - 20 times. keep in mind the smashed tank woolie bar cage and nasty painted bike. The cops around here are usually cool. Now the flip side! we ride in the city limits (city cops dont bother us as much). But to get to the city we ride thru the county. It just so happened one day 10 bikes rip thru the county into the city on one wheel. we stop at our spot. 7 city cops and city chopper hovering over us (keep in mind were parked!) 2 run and get away 8 goto jail including the camera man in a jeep. Everyone got screwed on this one. Since then NOONE around here stops... And the police just keep on chasing. Now if they ever catch someone with cage bar and smashed tank Its directly to the pokey!
