'02 Gixxer 750 Oil Prob..

i HAVE AN '02 GIXXER 750. AFTER DOIN STANDUPS IM GETTING ALOT OF OIL IN MY AIRBOX AND IT CAUSES THE BIKE TO SMOKE REALLY BAD. NOW I KNOW WHERE THE OIL IS COMING FROM, ITS COMING FROM THE VENT TUBE FROM MY CRANKCASE. HAS ANYONE ELSE HAD THIS PROB AND IF SO HAS A SOLUTION BEEN MADE FOR THIS PROB?? THANKS FOR ANY HELP GUYS..

be carefull. you'll hydrolock it. sounds like your runnin super high rpms. that happened to my buddies. his locked up. dont know what to tell you other then slow'em down. heard of guys pluggin that tube, but i wouldnt recomend it

THANX.. BUT ACTUALLY IM NOT REVVING TO BAD. I DO THEM PRETTY FAR BUT I CAN SLOW THEM DOWN PRETTY GOOD. NOW I DO TEND TO CARRY THEM PRETTY STEEP ALSO BUT ITS WHERE I FEEL COMFORTABLE DOING THEM.

did you do the crankcase pcv mod?i've got the same bike and i've never had that problem. 12 all day and it doesn't smoke. maybe your oil is overfilled?

Maybe he is talking about the pair mod. Do a search on gixxer.com about it. Or maybe he is talking about putting a pcv valve on the crank case vent hose that runs into the airbox. It keeps oil from spewing into the airbox. Oil spewing into the airbox is usually caused by overfilling more than half a quart and running high rpms when doing the wheel stands.

One of my friends engines lockedup and threw a rod out on the ground because of this. What I did was hook the crank case vent to the vacuum pump that is on top of the vavle cover, so the crank case is always under vacuum. Plugged the two vacuum ports in the airbox. I have never had a problem since, I was told It might smoke a little but mine never has.
