What causes high speed wheelie wobble?
I had a bro riding in front of me that i watched ride hundreds of wheelies, get the dreaded, big high speed wobble and crash. Is this caused from being too high, road irregularities, etc?
weight shifting on the pegs back and forth, eventually getting faster and faster/hands loosing their grip and letting the bike dance
'tis my experience anyhow.. long wheelies make my grip loosen up.

what kinda bike?
on the r1.. lots of things..
1: weight shift
2: wind
3: (perhaps) high revs
4: too much speed (which goes alone with #2)
5: tire choice (rounder profile.. i.e. 180/50 = more wobble)
6: tire pressure too low/high i've never had mine too high, but if you do 15psi wheelies at 70mph you'll get some mad wobbles.
edit.. thought of one more..
7: being unstead on the throttle

Sometimes you can just have an old shitty tire and it will cuz problems
I've rode steady wheelies for I don't know how long and I've had some mad woobles above 60mph. Tried different pressures on different tires but no change I think it has to do with the rider. I'm still getting used to getting them high, **** I came close to 12'ing mine last night for the first time.

agreed + everything else said above.....+ once the carcass breaks down the tire is sloppy.
the worst wobbles I ever got was when I aired up a tire tp 30psi for a highway mission. it was bald and been run at 15 psi and used for slow stuff it's whole life.
stood the b!tch up on the freeway and that little **** could dance. left a snake trail and everything at 70mph right before I set it down.
next day = new tire + 30 psi.....straight as an arrow at whatever speed

But yeah, make sure your tire is good and at around 32 psi
He was riding a tl1000r. Doing a second gear, sitting wheelie at approx. 60mph. The rear tire was a 190 at about 32psi - was wore down pretty far. The only other thing i could think of was that the bike leaned slightly at the same time the throttle was rolled off to maintain balance fore and aft balance.
Thanks to all for the input.
