make sure you fill your tank before ape hangers....

ya, i just got back from my night practice..it's 3 am. i was out, riding some slow stuff. decided to do some bar tricks. Usually i fill my gas tank before i go do slow stuff but i filled it yesterday and the reserve light wasn't on so i didn't worry about it.

I bring it up in first, set it on the bar and drop off the bike into an ape hanger, BLAH, the bike died and come slamming down throwing me into the tank. The lip of the tank where it's dented hit me right under the ribs knocking the wind out of me and hurting like hella nd the 12 bar attacked both my shins when it slammed down. When it landed it took the liberty of bump starting itself because i have the idle up and then i had to ride it like a bull the rest of the parking lot before i could get off of it.

I couldn't figure out what happened....fuel light wasn't on, tip over sensor has never killed the bike before, i had enough rpms....then, i started it back up to go home, then when i pulled out onto the road the fuel light turned on. so ya, it bogged from lack of fuel. damned thing.

For some reason I like to wheelie better on an almost empty tank but now I see the danger in that.

ya, i always fill up, but i figured since i did yesterday and the light wasn't on, i had a good ammount, well i guess the light was just about to come on, that's why i didn't notice it. i won't do slow stuff if the light is on cause it'll bog.

and, i find the bike is way more stable with a full tank of gas, once you get it up, it's not twitchy like an empty bike is.

Dude you should always cover the clutch, but especially when you're dragging.

ya, but when it's 25 degrees out your fingers don't work the fastest...that **** happened faster than i could pull the clutch in. it already had me in the forward motion so clutch wouldn't have done me too much good.
