why freestyle sportbike is the greatest sport
why freestyle sportbike is the greatest sport
allright allright, enough with this attitude lately of people dissin other riders cause they got sprockets and dirt bike bars, i'll give ya my opinion, then i'll give you some examples of the attitude that needs to start spreading to other people,
my opinion on sprockets and dirtbike bars... IM ALL FOR IT, people keep sayin, well thats cheatin, he's got a thumbrake, you know what , forget it . cause that person is pushing the limits that we didnt think was possible, get off your high horse about being gangsta cause your on a stock bike, . dirtbike bars, hey if feelin more comfortable is cheating, then Tu'che' to you cause your doing stuff that i cant do, so what if they got dirtbike bars and doin stuff that you cant do, maybe you like giving your winnings to that person. big sprockets, same thing, if you want to be gangsta than dont compete cause there are no rules for winning, if you got all that stuff on your bike and winning, than nice ****in work, hope you like that prize money, cause them winy *** gangstas going home with nothing. im really gettin sick of this " my **** looks better than yours ", or "your **** doesnt look as gangsta as that persons's", and you know what i say to that, tape measures dont know the differance, and neither does prize money. I say do whatever you got to do to win and push the limits and make our sport grow, and if you want be "gangsta" than dont compete and than bitch later cause you got beat to some other "non" gangsta rider. heres some stories that will maybe "enlighten" you people out there, and this is why i love what i do.
Topeka, Kansas XSBA Ronnie Hurst of DV8 in 3rd place behind teach and dan, loses his key, and cant get his bike started, Teach being the person that he is, lets ronnie use his bike to compete. why should he have to do that, why, cause he is a competitor, and he doesnt want sugar coating on his placings. Teach is a TRUE PROFESSIONAL
Texas Lonestar Biker Bash, ive just recorded a 1000 ft. stoppie preceding to this event, its my first chance to compete against my two teachers Matt Blankstrom and Matt Gorka, in practice on friday , my dampner blows a seal and leaks all the oil out of it, Thew, being the competitor he is , lets me borrow his so that i can compete, for prize money that he wants badly, AND , we have to change the dampners in A HUGE rush, while were trying to place. he went first i went last, and in the middle were rushing to change dampners, same thing for finals, and i place ahead of him to win 1500 dollars, but you know why he did that, cause he doesnt want a placing knowing he didnt compete against everybody and he is just a great person, THEW is a true PROFESSIONAL
Daytona Bike Week, one week after blowin my motor in a recorde attempt , Nick Hill calls and says he has a bike for me to borrow, Daryl's , a kid that i repeatedly badmouthed on the interet before i ever met him, Daryl IS ALL FOR IT, we squashed our differences and are friends to this day, he lets me borrow his bike for daytona, and for the record attempt, with out even givin a 2nd thought, and he rides for scooter trash, another local stunt group that competes against us. Daryl and SCOOTER TRASH are true professionals, and for his gratitude, i gave him my entire front end set up to him to help him out, now he went from 0 ft. endos to 100 ft. endos in 1 day, congrats daryl
Daytona Bike Week , Dan Jackson gets hit by another rider in practice, he brakes his triple tree and bends his forks, he CANT compete, which means he cant win unless he finishes, Ronnie Hurst , MY TEAMMATE, knowing that he could possibly jump up in rankings, swaps his front end for dan, so that dan can compete, dan wins daytona and wins the XSBA national championship, Ronnie and Dan are TRUE PROFESSIONALS,
These are some of the things you ignorant people need to know about so that maybe you'll be more professional in this growing sport, THIS IS WHY WE RIDE, some of you people may need help, and what if no one wants to offer it cause of the way you act about yourself, than your **** out of luck.
i had to tell people this cause i didnt like the way things were going on here. These comments are not directed towards anyone in particular, and are my opinions alone. so bash away at me and no one else.
Thank you , and drive thru

spoken like a true professional, never have i heard someone speak these words to all the "crybabies" out there without it meaning so much, as true in all sports.....
get the "gangsta" **** out of the way and lets ALL take this sport to the next level, it will consistantly be threatened by the media as a bad thing untill we show the kind of proffessionalism that is shown throughout every sport in todays society.

I agree with you 100% we all need to get past the gansta sh*t and take this sport to another level. I met Ryan in dallas at texas lonestar biker bash and had the opportunity to talk with him for about 15 min. Between that and what he just wrote, I can tell you he's a true professional as well.
listen im not bashin or hatin or tryin to keep it what you call "gansta". I 100% agree about progressing and going to the next level, but I also think this sport should stay pure. I mean whats next entering comps on a trials bike? But I suppose anything to progress right? Not talkin **** just stating my opinion. Liked the stories though.
Word! I'm new to this board but what was just said makes 100% sense! I live in San Antonio, and got muh a$$ us @ 5AM and drove 300+ miles to attent the Lonestar biker bash to see some true innovative stunters in action live. I had no idea about what took place for these guys to be able to compete... i.e. blown seal on damper etc. and just who got involved to make it happen. For someone to risk prize money for the ability to compete against a true field, not one dwindled down due to mechanical errors is awsome! Not many sports/athletes will give up a clear advantage to allow for a true contest. MADD props!

I agree with you Ryan.......most of the people that I have met have been incredible. Let me tell you a good story......I went to xfest with a few friends.....we stopped on the way home on the PA turnpike for lunch. We are in line at the rest area burger king....in line behind us walks Thew...we are like "damn thats thew" he was like "hey whats up" and just started having conversation with us. We invited him to our table to eat with us because he was by himself......He sat there with us and had great conversation. Then, even though he was trying to get home, came outside with us and talked for about an hour about the day before and let us take a whole bunch of pictures with him. We could not get over what a nice guy he was and how approachable he was to some people that he didnt even know. This has been my experience with MOST people......We could not get over how totally cool and professional he was.....I think this does great things for the sport......just thought I would throw that in......
lol
need some tissues sounds like your the one crying like a little bitch sorry but its true and i hope the "nsra" coment was not directed at me because i always keep my mouth shut. anyway go out and shovel some snow or something
taking this sport to the next level is not gonna be done any other way but professional and gansta is getting old i dont compete yet but still know what professionalism is to us only helping everyone get this sprot recognised as a legit sprot and getting rid of the bad rap stunters for being so "GANSTA"
everyone talking **** about G's dont really know what one is....
gangsta by to me is a person who will do whatever it takes to get whatever he or she needs
whether its selling dope, or working overtime at the job
whether its talking camly or boxing someone in the neck
its always saying what you feel and keeping it real
its not talking about it, its being about it
I myself am G, look where I am at and what I do
Tony D = G, cant hate on that *****
Darius = G, king of cali, need I say more?
Joe B = G, just won NSRA, on a minty bike
all of these people are Gangsta, so you ask me, do I think I should clean up my act and be a professional??
I will roll with this group and just keep "keepin it"
oh and the point is, that this group of people are some of the most professional, you do the math

doin what you gotta do to make money, and live is one thing yo, that is gangsta, im all for it, but badmouthing people for little things like sprockets, dirtbike bars, and thumb brakes sayin there not gangsta, thats irrelevant, stunt riding is not gangsta, your life may be gangsta, you may do things that are illegal to get by, yo, do what you gotta do, but when it comes to stunt riding and being a legitamit sport, gangsta is not a term that should be thrown around like it is, i may have misused some words in my ranting, i take some of them back, it may have looked like i targeted joe brown, he is not gangsta, he is a professional athlete, what he may do on his own time, that may be gangsta, but when hes on the track performing, hes bein professional, and i think his name gets thrown around to much for this gangsta image, he may like it now, but what about later, is he gonna want the label.?, i dont know, maybe maybe not. my comments have nothing to do with me as a fellow rider, it has to do with me being a fan, im still a fan of this sport and i still have people i look up to in this sport, joe being one of them, along with thew, gorka, kyle woods, scott caraboolad, core 6 , dan jackson, guyz i compete against, so this has nothing to do with me as a rider, i want to see this sport grow too, so that maybe if i never have a chance to ride when its big, i can watch these guyz on tv, and tell my friends, "yo i know that guy",
ya got all the "secrets", yet my bike is still garbage
