I think for me a thumbbrake would be better. Two levers up there would be more tricky to learn and use I think. Don't know for sure, I haven't got to tryeither yet.

Re: thumb brake or leaver?

Thumbs dont work. The ones that gptech makes dont push enough fluid and doesnt give you much of anything to work with.

Re: thumb brake or leaver?

I tried it both ways....not enough pressure using your thumb. It feels ok when you're just riding along, but when you need it to control a 12, it doesn't respond well enough. Its not as hard as you think to get used to a lever under your clutch....I have a front master cylinder with a GP Tech fitting to tie the line in, and it works great. A little practice with it, and you'll love having it.

Re: thumb brake or leaver?

www.gptechllc.com I used a stock gsx-r750 fr. master cylinder and I believe about a 50" steel braided line. I got the fitting from GP Tech. I had to move the switch housing from my right handlebar to make room, so I made a extension from the bar that runs toward the gauges to mount it on.

Re: thumb brake or leaver?

Thumbs can't lock the rear. You need to be able to do that for any kind of confidance. And thumb brakes....$$$$$$$$$$$$$

the gptech thumb break wasn't meant to lock the rear or give much.... it was only designed for racers to settle the rear of the bike headin' into corners or to correct a little bit of slide.... i've used one on my race bike for years, but you guys wouldn't want to use on for stuntin'....
