Question Which Tire?

I've got an 85 Honda Interceptor 700 that has a Dunlop 491 tire on the back. The size is 130/80 - 18. The tire sucks!!! What would you guys suggest I get to replace it for stunting because as it is right now I cant do ****. When ever i try wheeling this thing it just burns out, and dont even get me started on what happens if i hit some water in the gutter coming out of my house. Anyways some suggestions would be great as to what tire would go with the bike and give me the best traction.

probably not many options for something that size. Just get a new one the sportiest design you can find and good luck.

Newer bike, not a new tire is what you should consider. Maybe a F2 or F3 if you're big on honda. Tons of those things running around for lil money.

Dude don't even worry about it. You are in California and it's nice out, I'm in Ohio, have three bikes in the garage, and just have to sit and look at em cause it's cold.

Back in "the day" I used to have a 700 interceptor. It'll wheelie, it just takes some body language, and technique.

Start at zero, hold down the front brake, light up the tire, now it's hot. Now, roll 25 to 30, rev that sucka up, and you'll have to a nice wheelie. You can shift from first to second and get some distance on it once you practice it a bit.

It also sounds like your tire is shot. I put a set of metsler lazers on mine (do they exist any more?), just get you a soft compound low profile tire and you'll be o.k. I used to wheel mine every time I took off from a stop sign, so I know it'll do it.

Just have some fun with it...
