'04 r1

This is a very nice bike i just sold my '01 gsxr 600 to get one of these bad boys. But i fear this r1 has the same problem as its predecessors. It has a wacked out balance point for wheelies, which means that it's center of gravity is in an area of the bike which makes it more difficult to HOLD wheelies. So even though this bike has the supposed best numbers, the '03 gixxer 1000 will always be better on one wheel. Nevertheless, Im still planning on purchasing that 04 r1 as soon as it hits the floor.

could anybody give me some insight on the stunt capabilities of the r1?

NO, im a struggling student dude. i just wanted to know how good this thing wheelies. i dont care what bike you have you should know how to wheelie it once in a while. my question really is that with all the new 1000s in debut which one should to get??
2004: r1??? gixxer 1000?? gixxer 750(has the same power as the 03 r1 lol)??? kawasaki zx-10r?? honda cbr 1000??

so many to choose from.
personally i think suzuki released thier one thousand a year ahead so they wouldnt have to compete.

that bike is gonna be 160+ hp at the wheel, fuel injected, upside down swingarm, "ram" air, underseat exhaust, and lighter than the old one.

THERE'S NO TELLING WHAT IT MAY DO. BUT I'M SURE IT'LL BE MUCH SKETCHIER. don't know how that's possible.

do yourself a favor and buy a suzuki. the new 600 should be plenty

The factories always blah blah blah about how great their newest release is. Wait for an independant source to test all the bikes against each other and see how it fares.

April or May issue of Superbike, or something comperable to that will give the overall evaluation. There is so much more to life then HP at the crank, or even dry weight.

Go to a dealership that has all of them sitting there, sit on each one, check out the gage cluster, decide if you like the ergonomics of the handlebar/foot peg positions. Are you going to go on any trips? Are you cramping up just sitting on it?

Any of the bikes you mentioned will wheelie for miles, just pick what fits you the best.

In my opinion, any bike is a good stunt bike, it's just a matter of gettin the feel for it....People say R1's are sorry *** stunt bikes, but hell, I won an amateur stunt comp. with one, so it's just a matter of gettin used to what you got....get what you like, and get the feel for it....dont believe the hype
