Brake Fade Kickin In...

I went out riding to today, as soon as left I noticed I had NO rear brake presure. Pulled over pumped a little and nothing. Took it back to the garage, bled the brakes and it was good.

Go out riding again, after 5 miutes of slow **** - faded again. In the middle of a No-Hander the brakes fade out and it comes staright back to the bar. Rode around fast to cool the brakes, pumped the lever away, and nothing. Got home and it seemed to be low on fluid. WTF?

They are fairly new (1/2 left) HH Pads. I had this problem once before, but I got new pads and bled the brakes and it was good until now.

anybody had this problem?

what kind of fluid do you run? dot 3 is crap, if you havent tried it yet go to dot 4 or super 4, it has a higher boiling point

depending on where the ressy is, you might want to ry and make a heat shield or somethign for it..make sure there is no air whatsoever in the lines....could the fluid have gotten water in it somehow?

Mine use to do it quite often...try a steel line on the back, and try to use less brake (thats the hard part)!!!

Yeah, I'll sand down my pads tomorrow, add in Dot 5 and let you guys know how it turns out I guess...

I was trying No-Handers for distance so It was kinda hard not to use too much brake.
