I know its been discussed, but just curious if anyone has come up with a fix yet? mine will only run for about 6-7 seconds on the bar. Anyone come up with anything?
I know im still a n00b, but try putting a fairly large inline fuel filter. Depending on the size, that could keep enough fuel available for it to run longer on the bar. Unless this is a problem with the floats closing, then i dont know.

Has anyone tried this? did it work?
im tired of carrying a damn gas can with me so I can fill that mUG up so it will at least run half way decent
My dub r has to full to the top with gas to run at 12...........I am always topping it off. The other thing that I figured out is that if you turn the idle up to around 2500, and put it on the bar....as long as you don't sqeeze the throttle, mine will run forever........but as soon as you try to give it gas, it just dies out.

I am hunting this same dilema, 929 or RR.
I've been told that you can tweek the float where it hits the float valve and that will make the valve close later which keeps more gas in the carb. obviously if the float is all plastic you can't do this, that is why my superhawk had to go down the road!!
check with your mech. before you try this tough!?!?!
I would assume that you could use the trick some of the nitrous guys (cars) use if you wanted to get hardcore with some wiring and whatnot. If you could get a single injector wired and plumbed into your airbox and set it up to spray at 12 o'clock under throttle then the carbs could just suck the fuel in with the air. The nitrous guys sometimes add an injector in the air intake track to spray fuel when you hit the nitrous to keep from running lean and burning up the engine. Basically you could put a tip-sensor of sorts so that the injector would only work at 12 o'clock and not cause you to run rich otherwise. Then to control the amount of fuel you'd just have to hook up some sort of throttle position sensor to vary the fuel amount, otherwise you'd just have to run it on or off, nothing or wide-open-throttle.
All in all it would probably be rather involved.

PROBLEM SOLVED....
OPEN GAS TANK,
MOVE BACK ABOUT 5 FT.,
THEN TRY AND THROW A LIT FIRECRACKER IN THE LITTLE HOLE....
IF THAT DON'T HELP YOUR PROBLEM,
