he's just your normal joe that spends more then normal amounts of time stunting his motorcycle.. thats how I see him..

 

I heard of Kyle before I met him on various websites, and people talking about him. Met him at a Moroso show a few months back, very down to earth, like someone mentioned, very cool guy. I could tell he vibes off other people.

Also, several different people on various levels, said how nice of a guy he is, always helping others. What more can someone ask. He was also the winner of Glen's "What the **** was he thinking award" at Superfest in Daytona,

I am helping gather information for sponsorship package and an article that might be published on him in a major magazine. I need to present to the sponsors the type of person he is and what his charcacter is...... Nice, Helpful, Outgoing, Motivational, I need deep thoughts if he has impacted anyones life to help progress or motivate anyone...

1) How can't I know who Kyle Woods is?
I lived in Florida till 3 months ago and I am on Stuntlife.

2) Yes many times. At shows down south for nearly 2 years now and many times at Florida's premiere practice location, the Lakeland Dragstrip on many different weekends.

3) Stand up guy, helpful and willing to not only shoot the **** with anyone that is around him but also gives other riders info to help them better themselves.

4) Yes, as mentioned in #3 he has answered questions I have had about tricks and techniques. Sometimes online in a thread and sometimes in person. He has even gone as far as riding my bike and scraping the bar in like 2 tries to show me it can be done and to give me info on things he liked and didn't like on how the bike performed. Also commented on things I might want to change to improve the bikes ability to do what I want it to do.

5) Doesn't apply.

6) Of course he has. If not for every rider out there then at least for anyone he has meet or delt with in the south, Florida especially. From just helping fellow riders out to rockin the mic at many shows and of course backin it all up with some of the sickest stuff on 1 wheel. Everytime I think I have seen it all from him he takes to the next level.
Oh, and he is funny as hell!

Kyle woods represents himself in the most positive prespective of streetbike freestyle.He is a true leader and role model amongst his peers. Kyle has set standards for the sport and is responsible for getting street freeystyle recgonized on a national level. Kyle has always been the guy to seek advise from and watch when he rides...Kyle Woods is a legend and will always be remembered for the guy who did it first... Amen

 

1)I have known of Kyle Woods for a year and a half through a motorcycle video. I hane been a friend of his for allmost a year.
2)I met him in person last march in Florida and have always kept in touch with him despite his busy schedule. The day I met him he was involved in a accident where he struck his head very hard. He got up after ten long minutes and made his way to the hospital. Kyle called me four days after I got back to Colorado to shoot the breeze...after only a brief meeting and a handshake.
3)Kyle is the most generous person I've ever met. I have always experienced, heard of, or seen Kyle go out of his way for others first.
4)I cannot give an exact number of times Kyle has helped me. Everything from advice, all the way to a place to stay while I was away from home.

6)YES!!! Kyle Woods is one of, if not THE authority on street freestyle riding as well as other sports. His natural skill and business wise persona makes him a born leader in this area. I have never met or even heard rumors of a person who doesn't like Kyle Woods.

 

I've known kyle for a long time....... I can tell ya all kinds of good stuff about him

 

Here's how I met kyle and the magazines will love a story like this.

I met kyle about 2 1/2 to 3 years ago. He PM'd me on SBN one day because he knew I was local and asked me to come ride with him. The next weekend Kyle was out of town in Daytona I think and a friend of mine was stunting at a warehouse that Kyle stunted at. Kyle mentions it in Urban Streetbike Warriors when he talks about "Devils somthing formely know as Heavens Gate". My fried wrecked and as Kyle said in Urban Streetbike Warriors "A dude flipped a stoppie and put a peg through his dome". My friend was rushed to the hospital where he laid in intensive care for several weeks in a coma. He had severe brain trauma and today he's basically a vegitable . So its a week later, we were all at the hospital just waiting around to see our friend. I jumped in the elevator and a guy followed behind me. He was carrying videos and shirts. I didn't know who he was and I asked if he was here to see our friend Rob. He said yes and I asked how he knew Rob and he said "I don't know him, but I heard that he was stunting and wrecked and is in bad shape. I ride for a group called TripleXtreme so we all signed some videos and shirts and I thought I would come by and drop them off and spend some time with him to help him cheer up". I noticed on his mechanic's shirt his name was Kyle and I was like "oh **** your kyle woods, I'm Eric aka: underzen from SBN". He was like "oh **** nice to meet ya I have been PMing you to come out and practice with us". So Kyle hung out at the hospital with about 30 of us and shot the ****. It ended up that the nurses wouldn't let us see our friend that nite because they did not want us stimulating his brain because his brain would swell.

Since that day me and Kyle have been friends and talk all the time. We have done several business deals together. He is an all around down to earth guy. He got my respect when he showed up by himself to see some guy he didn't know in the hospital who was a fellow stunter. He didn't have to do that but he did it because thats the way Kyle Woods is.

6. I've had the pleasure meeting kyle on several occasions. To me it's pretty cool to go up to your local bike shop and buy a stunt video, watch it. then go to a event and see the guy in the video doing his tricks live and in person. Then after the event meet him because he interacts with the fans (young or old male or female). And then to see him just hanging out at the local bikes night as a normal person out of the spotlight but still interacting, just puts the icing on the cake for his personality. His inspiration deffinatly helped out in my decision on getting involved in the sport and add a stunt bike to my collection of bikes.

2. Yes he has stayed at my place a few times.
3. Kyle in my bike is the Icon of the Stunt scene. Everyone knows him, knows his face, his attitude, and definately his riding style. He is definately one of the most, if not the most, coolest all around person i have met within this sport. He never seems to have any negativity in him at all, and only wants to help whoever he can.
4. Kyle came to TX and hung out for a few weeks throughout the summer and helped me a lot with some new things i was wanting to try and even gave me tips on some things i was already doing, he just helped me make them better. He has given me tons of motivation when we are out riding. Just been around, again, his positive attitude has helped me learn a lot.
5. Before I met Kyle, I heard he was gansta as ever. Heard he is definately sick to watch and that he was the best in the industry.
6. I dont think that freestyle sportbikes would be where it is today if Kyle hadn't been involved. He has been around the sport since the beginning from what I know, and I always see him doing things to try to give the sport a better image. Always trying new tricks, thinking of new things to do with older tricks, and definately playing to the crowd and making them always want to see more. I don't know anyone that doesn't have a good time when Kyle is around. I love riding with him because I feed off of his energy and he is always pushing me to go a little harder, do a little better, or keep going until i get it right. Kyle is definately a leader in this sport and a true class act in my book.

First saw him on stuntlife and then recognized him on a few videos. Meet him both in Long Island and Massachusetts.

Meet Kyle in person for the first time in Long Island
Then meet him again up in Massachusetts at Chauency’s parent’s house

3.) What was your impression of Kyle, whether you met him on here or in person?
Kyle is a very out going person that the crowd seems to love. He is very energetic and can motivate anyone. If he believes he can do something he will try until he accomplishes it. Hence his successful 360 back flip on a bike at Chauency house and driving down the road in a mustang on two wheels. Did I let the cat out of the bag?

4.) Has Kyle helped you in anyway?
Kyle helped me in a negative way. When I was down on Long Island I went to put my bike away after doing some burnouts. He came over and told me the crowd was loving it and to get back out there. So I went back out and next thing you know my new 954 is on fire. The next day where ever I would see Kyle at the Long Island Stunt show Kyle enjoyed pointing out on the PA system that I was the one who blew up that brand new 954 last night. Dick!!! On a positive note Kyle is very down to earth, nice guy, and always helping others improve their ability.



5.) If you never met him have you heard of him? What did you hear?
I meet him so do I answer this? Before I meet him I heard he has mad talent and very motivated and moving this sport forward.

6.) Do you think Kyle has had any impact on the Freestyle Sportbike scene? If yes, please explain.
Yes, from the shows it seems he is a great announcer and knows how to get the crowd interested. He left his mechanic business to dedicate his life to Freestyle Sportbike scene. People at shows seem to like him and enjoy watching him host the show. He motivates people to work harder at stunting by trying to get to his level. If does a new trick or modifies his bike someway people listen and try to copy him.

i first saw kyle at psychofest. then i had the oppertunity to talk with him when he was lookin for some freesytle ramps in floridia. we have had many conversations through the phone and emails. i think he is a great rep for the freestyle world. mad skillz, always there to help, and a all around good guy. if he had a big sponsor i think he would give them 110% with a professional & positive image.

 

1. I met Kyle through some mutual friends involved in the stunt riding industry.
2. Yes, we have spent many days together and over the phone discussing the direction of the sport and life in general.
3. I have never met anyone else quite like Kyle. He is one of the most sincere and down to earth people I know. His personality is impossible not to love.
4. Kyle has helped me out by offering business advice and assistance organizing events. He has introduced me to important contacts in the industry that I might not have otherwise met.
5. I have never heard anyone talk bad about Kyle Woods.
6. Kyle has had the greatest impact on the US stunt riding scene. He is often referred to as the Tony Hawk of our sport because he is probably the most recognized athlete we have. His skills set him apart from the rest of the riders, but his attitude towards helping everyone else achieve keeps him on the same level. Kyle has never put himself on a pedestal, but rather takes the time to give pointers to beginners and sign autographs for fans. His knowledge and experience with stunt riding surpasses all. Without Kyle Woods, this sport would not be where it is today.
