Whats up everyone new member here from Illinois. Just curious on everyones views on the 2003 gsxr1000. I am buying a bike this march and was considering this as my # 1 choice. I have like 6 years exp racing mx and have ridden a liter bike before, I am 6'6" like 225 just curious to everyones opinions? thanks.

For your size and weight that should be good, or you can go with a Busa if you want. It all depends on what you want to do with the bike.

I dunno bro... I will agree that the new honda is gonna be a clean bike but rumor has it the g1k is getting lots of engine changes. We will see.

If I was you I would hang out and wait to see. I ride a gsxr 1000 and love it. I wish I had an 03 instead of an 01 but it still has butt loads of power and is super fun. I think (as hard as this is for me to say) the kawi zx10 might be the bad boy next year. I hate kawi too so this sucks. I like ther dirt bikes but there street bikes have always lacked something when i ride them. Good bikes but no tear your eye ***** fast feeling anywhere in the power band. The new honda cbr 1000 is going to be off the hook also. The new 04 gsxr and r1 are going to have a lot of motor, but we will see how well they hold up. They have to start breaking at some point. 160 ....170.....180...... where will the horse power stop. I can only wait around and drool over my 160 hp gsxr and dream.
