Question Wheelie Bikes

Does anyone on the baord know or wheelie a 99 yzf 600R I try but its really only working in 1st gear. The bike is alot heavier then the R6. just wondering if anyone has tips.. I have broken 3 adjusment plates from wheeling, that plate doesnt seem beefy enough to take it.

I would tell you that any bike can wheelie just fine -- it's the rider that matters. BUT if you are breaking **** trying to wheelie, I wouldn't keep doing it

I think i figured out why the plate breaks, it hasnt done it anymore. Im still not pro at wheeling, but bouncing the front? I can get it up in first alright, still learning. i have tried really hard in 2cnd to get it up but it hasnt happened, all stock except a D&D exhaust.

Are you clutching it up? If so it should go up in 2nd gear. Just like MEACHAM said, any bike will go up. Take your time.

I ride a 95 YZF 600R. I can wheelie it in 2nd & 3rd(I also sprocketed it down 1, up 2) but on stock gearing I learned 2nd. Just practice, and learn to set one down a little softer if you're breaking stuff. Save that last bit of RPM's to set it down.

My buddy has a 99 zyf600r, i have ridden it quite a bit, he has dropped one tooth in the front. It does good in first gear, but i'm with you, second is a challenge. I can do it, but its easier if you go with a bounce/clutch combo. Just tag team it and it'll be all good.

yeah if anyone knows anyone else who stunts that bike, i would wanna know what mods they do to it. You guys think that someone could windscreen wheelie? its pretty high, prolly to high to get legs over without cutting it up By the way, what is bouncing? like stand up and actully bounce bike? like lean forward and pull up hard when i slip clutch?

You can definatly crank'em up on a 99 yzf 600 . a friend of mine had one that i used to wheelie in second with no clutch at all just a bounce . you should clutch it though so you have more rpm to work with just ride that things balance point . im from mass to where do you ride ??/

Use your legs, and arms, but your legs and body are the most momentum you can give, and lean back when you're on the up swing
