Who tows their bike(s)

getting a new trailer and I was wondering if I should get a 4X8 or a 5X8 .... I am only considering these 2 pretty much. I am towing with a car, so it can't be toooo big. The question is, can a 4X8 trailer hold 2 gixxers???? has anyone put two street bikes side by side safe/secure on a 4 foot wide space??? should I hold out for the 5 foot wide one??

I transport two bike all the time in my race van that can't be more than 4 foot wide. The trick is to run the tie downs for the inside bars through the wheel of the other bike. Mind you these bikes are not ones you are worried about bumping together all that much but the ussually don't touch. the inside of my van can't be larger than 4 foot you think? normal 1991 ford e-150. A team style sucka.

you can fit 2 bikes side by side and not have them touch. I just put them in & kick them over.

I have transported 2 nice bikes and did not mark them up in my truck.

hmm....for the bikes i would go 5 foot wide, but 4 foot should work. you might need to put something between them. they will fit though.

I'd go with the 5 foot, the 4 foot would probably get em on there, but not like you want. If it were me, I'd hold out for the 5 foot

i traveled all the way from ohio to daytona for bike week carrying 2 new gen gsxr's on a 4x8 trailer without any problem. they fit perfectly without a doubt!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! when we got to daytona we threw the 4x8 trailer in our enclosed trailer so it was not taking up xtra space!!
