News makes stunners look bad......

So a news crew did a story on the stunners here in denver over the weekend. They told us (of corse we knew they were full of ****) that they wanted to help clear the name and help us find places to do it where we are not on public roads. We also wanted to them to talk about the sport of stunt riding. They did a whole interview with D~Lish that was full of useful info about the sport. So of corse driveing out to the "spot" they get behind some squid who does a wheelie all the way down the highway at high speed (which is what we are trying to clear the name of in the first place) and so they do half of the story on that, interview him, dont even used D's interview and once again give us all a bad name.... they did get one good shot of Wondo doin his thang (circles) but the rest of it is bad!! So anyway, heres the clip....

Mofuggers!

If it's not "bad bikers as sleek as their bikes" then the story wouldn't be as interesting. That's why they have to bash stunt riders.

That sucks! I noticed we have seen a couple of bad news reports on us lately, what's going on??

We are all in big trouble if we cant convey to the mass populous that we are not "street racers". This may be a bit off topic, but after watching the cbs video and almost getting taken to jail last night under the new "street racing law" in tx for doing a 15 mph wheelie I wanna say we have some serious explaining to do. Luckily the cop (even though he gave me an exibition of acceleration ticket) was cool enough to remain calm and let me explain the differences between what we do and street racing. I asked him to spread the word to his buddies and he seemed like he understood but then again he was a cop... The streetracing tag is what is killing us. We do not want to be lumped into that group.

To bad d'z interview never made it on there I'm sure it would of been positive. Overall I didnt find that clip as bad as the CBS one at least this one focused purely on stunting and not street racing.
To bad buddy had to pull a wheelie down the interstate. Thats the BS that makes us all look bad to the general public.

Cheers

That sucked! The public is always afraid of what they don't understand.... and the local news feeds that fear! Bastards!

so when is everyone gonna realize that major tv news lie to you and will one way or another get "the story" they want.I can guarranty that if a reporter comes to this are and wants to do a story about "the growing" sport...they're gonna leave with a busted camera and no story what so ever....stop giving them the opportunity to make us all look bad

I think It's fugging laughable. Just watch your *** out there b/c the are looking to make examples out of some of us. Oh well winter is arriving and it will die down. Just be glad they didn't air that show at the beggining of the summer. We would all have a couple more tickets and a few less $ in our pockets.

I have to agree with stubbystunter. If you know 98% of the time you are going to be portrayed in a bad way quit giving interviews. You don’t have to talk to them.

If you do decide to give an interview only have a handful of people there that can be considered pros. Also have one or 2 people that can control themselves long enough to get to the riding spot meet the news crew, and escort them out to your spot. The guy doing a wheelie down the freeway is a perfect example of what can happen given the opportunity.

One other thing in my opinion- the guy doing the wheelie on the freeway is also giving the sport a bad name not just the news. If you knew the camera crew was there why would you do something that stupid? That’s like the people tha gave interviews during the LA riots. They had stolen merchandise in their hands and wonder why they were being portrayed as a criminal.

I also like the idea of charity shows to give the sport a good name.
