The SRAD

How many people here ride an SRAD or have had one. Are they good bikes. How do they hold as far as stunt riding.

what do you think is better bike F4i or SRAD.

EDIT-
Ok let me add some more info

eversince I was old enouph to know what a motorcyle is, I always loved the style of gixxers, especially the blue and white ones, and especially the late 90's style (SRAD).
Now this bike shop that I'm always at has a SRAD for sale...not sure of year and mileage yet, but what I was thinking is.....
My F4i is getting close to 15,000 miles. It was my first bike, and I love it, but the urge to get something more powerful is hitting me.
So if the SRAD is in good shape and has less miles than my current bike, then maybe I could work out some kind of trade. This place isn't a dealer its a shop that buys and sells used bikes.

I got one and beating the sh*t out of it trying to learn these damned wheelies. ROOOOOOAAAAA. I will get it soon. I WILL get this sh*t down soon........

Other than that I think it handles great as I spank some of the new bikes around the curves. I guess it depends on the rider though. They are fun.....I haven't had probs with this bike so far.....Get it.

good for wheelies
good for endos

if your gonna do highchair endos i recommend aftermarket upper fairing stay..... the race type that is like a R1 style because you'll probably bend your key if you dont..... i did.

The SRADs are the sh*t as far as I'm concerned! I got one (98) not long ago. A friend hads one and beats it to death everytime we go out, and the thing never skips a beat. If you do get one, try to get a 98 or 99 model (fuel injected) but the 96/97s are still good though.

a56kuser nice work!!
How do you keep the rear of the bike straight on the one handed highchair stoppies?

i dunno why but my endos always goes straight on highchair stoppies.... i still have a little problem w/ my regular endos kicking out..... but i already knew how to do one handed endos good so doing a highchair one handed isnt that hard at all....... i do it in second gear and go little fast so i have the speed to roll the endo and still be going fast when i drop the endo cause i dont want it to die out.

a56kuser my normal endos kick out sometimes aswell, but every time I try them as a highchair I only get to travel over a small (really small) distance till it starts to drift on me, mainly to the left. I bring them up in 2nd travelling abouts 60kms ( I think around 30mph?) they are just the standard two handed stoppie. If you could shed any light or have any suggestions I would appreciated it. Do you tighten your damper right up? Cheers!

SRAD's are sweet! I had a 96 and 97 750's and really liked them both. The f4i is sweet too, especially if you gear them for slow ****. If you want to do 12's don't get a carbuerated srad they stall out. Other than that they are great.

I'm on my second SRAD and I must say that I really like them.

However, if you are serious stunting, carberated ones are a big disadvantage. If you drop the bike, you will have to change spark plugs-every time.

Other than that, I have no comlaints...but i think i'm gonna put a 2000+ motor in mine.

yeah i have a daytona damper and i put it on the tightest setting (which isnt tight at all compared to scotts and ohlins) but i defintily cant do my endos w/ out a damper.... im not sure bout your tail swaying out cause when i started doing highchair endos they never swayed out on me before...... do you lean forward when you do the highchair endos??? i do lean forward a little bit.....that might help

My SRAD,s a god bike. The only drawback I see is that it's heavy as ****. Maybe it's just me but, being only 145 pounds it's hard as **** to control in a wheelie. I'm really lookin to get a zx6r for stoppies. Joe Brown proved to me that the zx6r is the bike for stoppies. And my friend can wheelie the 6r across Gandy bridge pullin combos like nobodys business. THe SRAD's a good bike, just a little too heavy for my light ***. Laterz, Nate Dawg
