you can find a used on searching around for around 250 - 350 but youll more than likely have to buy the mount new, unless you get lucky.

i'd strongly recommend the scotts, by far the most versatile damper on the market. i got mine (new) from www.kneedraggers.com for $405 shipped.

i have heard this as well from some long endoers....something about the slop when the bars are straight...this is quite possible.

my own experience with them has been phenomenal-BUT on my race bike only, i have never tried it on the RR.

they cant be beat for adjustability. they have low and high speed dampening, as well as varied damping speed throughout the arc of your turns (if you so desire)....

i have also never seen one smashed from a crash-and i have seen MANY crashed and totaled bikes (www.ARGOCYCLES.com)

i'm getting the bracket for my RR this week....

my humble and probably useless thoughts,

Mr. McNeil

Try GPR, they have a similar design to Scott's. They are about $100 cheaper. I just orded mine from www.newportcycle.com.

I picked mine up for 404 new, with mounting, and next day shipping. If you're interested I'll look up where I ordered it from when I get home.

Side note, isn't that the damper that Thew used for the world record and endorses?
