12ing a 750 ... sprocket difference??
12ing a 750 ... sprocket difference??
ok ... so I am gonna be 12ing the 750 (new body), and I was gonna do like 2 down and 4 up, but what if I went like 2 down 6,7, or 10 up?? what would the BIG difference be? I know it would have less of a top end, but would it coast slower (noticeably), or what? Those of you who are scrapin 750's, what dop you like best and why??
had 5 up in the back and liked it alot, just started circles and went down 1 in the front and up 12 in the back. killed my high chair distance once I have circles mastered I will probably go back to 5 up
i went up 8 on my 750, but i think im goin up anutha 12

Im thinking about going -1,+4. I need to know what size chain I need. Im thinking about getting a new chain while Im getting this done. Right now I have 2up in the rear. Will the chain I have now work with -1,+4?

ok, here it is, ive had them all. first i went down one and up three, awesome for street. wasn't into 12'n yet. then i broke the up three and went up four. then i changed the front to a down two. shortly after went up nine, this is when i got into 12'n. down two up nine is still great for the street but i couldnt go slow enuf for 12's, so now i went to an up 12 on the back, still down 2. it is fawking bad azz but it fawking suxs on the street!!!!!
in all truth. decide how you wanna ride, if doing just the slow ****, drop 3 and go up 12.. i personally am down 3 and up 9.. and almost stalling out at 3 mph. yet still wanna go up in the rear another 6 to make the slow **** good! And i am all about doing some circles, just need the change on the back to get it down. If you `re riding your bike from one place to another. don`t bother going big on the rear, you`ll eat up so much gas, ask dave. Figure out what you`ll be doing with your bike(ride wise) and make the judgement call on that.
Good Luck
