Stuntin Gixxers and 900's........

I spoke to a mechanic today and we covered alot of topics and I want to hear your version. I told him about the front fed oil pump on the CBR 900's and asked him if there was something you could do to assist it. He said if you ride a wheelie for over a mile then you will start having problems. If not then, later down the line. He said unless I am trying to go pro stunter then I shouldn't worry about it. He said its the 12:00s that will kill your bike. He said although some bikes are better than others. He said Newer Honda's have fixed the front oil fed pump and are VERY reliable. He said what he doesn't understand is that Suzuki is still to this day using the front fed oil pump. He also said the Zuk's may be winning with Yamaha but neither will hold up anywhere near the abuse of a Honda. He said he owns a R1, did wheelies among other tricks, and is on his 3rd motor due to the fact he believes they have weaker than average rods which break down unlike other bikes. He wasn't sure about the R6's though as they are a totally diff bike. He said if all the bikes were taken care of properly, oil changed on time and not until its black, did all the necessary procedures a Honda should last about 100,000 no problem. Then I asked him about handling and he said the CBR 900RR has a 16in front tire and needs to be exchanged for a F3 tire and it should do alot better. Check this another guy in the sales dept. says he has ridden 900's alot and said that you can't pull a 70mph wheelie on the freeway with the 900RR. He said you can do it on the other hand with the newer 600s due to technology. He said the only thing is that the 6 has to be winded out while the 9 just uses torque...........
I am on the brink of sealin the deal with this guy for his CBR 900RR. It has 10,000 miles and has a few upgrades. He is the original owner and bought it new in 97. The bike is a 96. He wants $5,000 and has no scratches and or dents.

So.....
1. Hondas reliability versus others

2. Front tire from F3 to 900RR for better handling

3. Wheelies on freeway at 75mph- New 600's yes, 900RR nope

4. 900RR, 10, 000 miles, '96, clean, $5,000.....yay or nay

I need your mind power to help me make a decision before I put my *** in the fire

HAAHAha. Yeah that guy is full of it and more. Before I came back to check the post here the guy called me from out of state. I talked to him for a while and he said the guy doesn't know what the F he's talking about. He said when he had it and rode it back in the day before he got married he used to go riding with his brother (who had a 95 900RR) and he said he could pull it up any time on the freeway. He changed the sprockets and a few other things to help it out with the performance. That 02 salvaged Gixxer 750 got sold a couple days ago so I might as well forget that. Not to mention they didn't have proof that they had the frame checked through computrak. So the frame was prob. all F'ed up.

So I have sealed it and gona get it. Forget all that other BullSht even though they are prob nice. I am going to get this CBR 900RR just because I haven't heard of bad things beside the oil pump and a whole sh*t load of good stuff you guys are doin with'em.

Man, I feel like a damn kid again who can't wait for xmas. I can't wait to start stuntin'! I might as well get prepared as I think I am gonna F it up in the process..........
