I guess I'm a minority. For one because I read this word for word. Two because I've been into it about a year and can't believe how far it has progressed already. I've only had the fortune to be able to go to World SRC in Tulsa this past spring because of work, funds, getting married,etc. but, since then I've seen, read, watched more videos and it's completely blowing up.

I want to thank Shuggs for taking on this huge effort.
And everyone who's into the sport for the love of it! Lets just keep it up and we'll get there.

 

I'd like to start by thanking Greg-Without your help with the board we'd all be lost now and divided into our regional sects.-and that would just take us back to where we were a year or two ago.

many good points have been made by everybody and i don't want to be redundant so i will just say that i hope everybody who's interested in reaping the rewards of a becoming a proffesional stunt/freestyle rider does thier part to help the sport grow.

Another thing that i believe is important that hasn't been mentioned here is "FAN LOYALTY"- I know i'm bad about blowing off the guy or gal who's got 1000 questions for me at every damn parking lot (mostly due to the fur). but i have realized that those who are really interested NOW will more than likely be the future FANS of our sport, and after reading a letter written by Derrick Daigle, i have given my full attention to those who have questions for me. Now I am flattered when i get compliments, thumbs up's and the inevitable "Are you a Starboy?" so when you stop somewhere take the time to listen(or at least pretend to listen) and answer questions to those who aproach you-and if you don't have the time to-carry around fliers to the next local show and invite them to come and check it out.

I am going to be taking some time off from school this next year to hone my skillz and to travel to 90% of shows and gatherings-i would like to add that i am at the sports disposal-so if i can help anybody in any way-send me a pm or e-mail me.

 

Props to all who do read this word for word, and everyone that contributes there .02. this is probably one of the best threads I have read on stuntlife so far. I will b sure to direct all the boys in my group to read this. I am just glad that I am a verrrrrrrrry small part of such an awesome sport.

I don't get a chance to get out and check out all of the shows I would like to, but I did make it a point to get down to the Pocono's for the XSBA show. I want to give props to all that were involved because it was the most organized event I have seen (even with qualifing and final events happening in the same day due to poor weather on sat).

I know it is rough for most people to perform as a side show to racing or other major events, just keep in mind that some publicity is better then none at all, that little bit still helps the sport grow, and eventually the sport is going to be huge.

I am just glad that there are people out there trying to make this sport even greater then it alredy is, if there is anything that I can do to help just let me know.

oh by the way steve the owner of rockingham dragstrip is willing to hold an event

 

thats funny because to be out of par on this thread you would have had to been in iraq for 5 years
