Axle Pegs

Im getting ready to try some stand up wheelies on my xr650.I'm curious if i can just use bmx pegs then drill them out then run the rear axle bolt through it?Am I making sense?

Re: Axle Pegs

I don't see why that wouldn't work...

Thats basically exactly what my 905 axle sliders are, except with a plastic piece on the ends.

Only thing I would be careful of is making sure that the bolt going through the axle and the hole on the pegs is tight and there isn't too much wiggle room. Otherwise it'll snap if the bike gets dropped too hard on them.

That's my thoughts as well.Do you think there is a possibility that after time the axle bolt will bend?I'ma big gguy.6'2 230lb.

Re: Axle Pegs

I guess it's possible...a single bolt is all I have holding my rear pegs to my sub frame cage those haven't bent on me from standing on them I'm about 245 lbs. they did bend from crashing though. Either way bolts are easy to replace just go to Home Depot and get the highest grade bolt they have
