bike keeps over heating despite anything i do.....could anyone tell me where the thermostat is located on a 2005 636....either its that or the water pump.....anyway i can possibly clean it or any ideas....thanx

Best bet is to start with your Fan, Make sure your fan is turning on at the temp it should, Secondly, hop on Ronayers.com, fiche section, it will give you an idea as to where your thermostat is located and what need to be taken off to get to the thermostat, once the thermo is taken out, put it in boiling water, see if it opens and closes, if it doesnt, there is your problem, if it does, then u need to look into maybe air in your radiator lines or radiator, if that is burped properly, best best is its a water pump going bad, but seeing that its that year, id lean torward either 1. air in radiator line... 2. blown fuse for fan...3. thermo is going bad!
