Try and try again... If you haven't flipped over yet, then you haven't found the balance point yet...

Re: Need Tips for wheelies!!!!

If your riding second gear completely out in 50 feet on the bike it mean your a couple feet away from the balance point...basically your only clutching up a little and using the bikes power to wheelie...I did this a lot at first....get back break control and try to clutch it way up as close to the ohh **** zone as possible...then its all about smooth throttle control my brethrin

i try and clutch my k7 750 up and it comes up a little but usualy it just peels the tire and doesnt do anything. i have a basically brand new tire on it with mabey 200 miles on it. am i using too much clutch or is my tire just not either broken in or not good for stunnting? any one got some advice. i think my tire is a bridgstone battle axe

Re: Need Tips for wheelies!!!!

If the tire isnt warm enough then it won't catch. Being in Ohio the weather may still be a bit cold to just hop right on and wheelie with out warming it up.
I've wheelied in 20 degree weather, you just gotta warm it up first.

Re: Need Tips for wheelies!!!!

You don't need any modifications to wheelie on the highway.

bring your tire pressure down to like 20-25

Re: Need Tips for wheelies!!!!

my pressure is at around 17. do you warm up your tire? just sit there and burn it for minute or just ride it fo like an hour

Re: Need Tips for wheelies!!!!

You don't need to lower your tire pressure if you are on the highway. It will just eat it up faster.
If you have money to spare on a new tire go ahead and roast it. If not, then just ride around for a bit first.... That's assuming the reason it's not sticking is because it's not warm. It may be just because it's new, although I'd think 200 miles is fine.

Re: Need Tips for wheelies!!!!

There is a heat wave coming through the midwest right now, so I'd think it'd be warm enough in Ohio for you to not have any issues.
Are you doing sit downs or stand ups?

Re: Need Tips for wheelies!!!!

oh **** i totally misread that. for some reason i thought u said u were spinning out. just do what your doing. each time lil more rpms. cover the brake. when u feel like your going to flip backwards give er alittle bit more. do that a **** load of times and then youve got it.

Re: Need Tips for wheelies!!!!

take your time BUT BE AWARE YOUR GOING TO **** UP THAT BIKE LOL

its all about bike controle i lerned at 17 to im 26 now and on my 10th bike but i still stunt you are going to fall you can lern just about any trick you want in a parking lot at low speed but i diddent listen to that eather so

your spinning cus your letting off the cluch to fast, rev it up high load the shock and let go of the cluch smooth as the bike picks up the revs will drop and you should be in to the throttle ....but like i said it should be a smooth thing burn up your cluch practice this it might not look as cool but its much cooler replaceing a cluch then a bike

after a wile you will be rockn out 2 gear like nothing REMBER the longer it takes you to run out a gear the better that means your balanceing the bike your gole should be to try and slow down once up on the wheele

good luck and take your time or you wont have a bike to ride
