New stunter please help

Last summer i bought an 07 gsxr 750 and ive always ridden dirt bikes and stunted on them and thats what i want to do on this 750. i want it also to be a street bike as well i do plan on riding it on the roads. im 17 years old and have done quite a bit of research about the cage i want. im pretty much set on a tygershark but dont have a clue what else i need. sprocket size front and rear? do i need a new chain with the new sprockets? i think i have a 525 on there right now. do i need a sub cage if i buy a stunt cage as well? i just have some general questions and need some help any suggestions would be awesome.

thanks John

Re: New stunter please help

check out Impaktech/ Sick Innovations for cage and subcage also, always get a new chain when you change sprockets... might want to look into a hand brake set up with a junction valve just cause they are alot cheaper... might wanna try -1 +5 for streets and some lot stunting... hope it helps a lil

Re: New stunter please help

changing the front sprocket is just like adding 3 teeth to the rear and for your chain for every tooth you add you need to add a link

Re: New stunter please help

I have a Tygershark on my f4i. Good cage. Good ground clearance for hard riding on highways and good shin clearance. Strong as **** too. And it looks sleak and clean. It's the best cage out there in my opinion. It's a little expensive but worth it.

Re: New stunter please help

if you have a 525 then just get a 525 and find out the amount of links the stock chain is and add one link for every tooth you add you will probably need a 140 links its always good to go with a little bigger and cut what you dont need off then to short and order 2 master links cause they have to be rivited on and if you ever have to take it off then bike stores normally dont carry them so keep an extra good luck with the stunting man

Re: New stunter please help

i think when figuring out lenth of the chain its how ever many teeth you go up, divide that number in half and add one... EX: so if going 55 teeth thats +9 from 46 teeth stock, so 4.5 or 5 plus 1 is +6 links, 130 link chain is more than enough...

Re: New stunter please help

First suggestion is get rid of that Suzuki lol.
Seriously though GET A SUBCAGE! don't just slap a cage on there and think your bike is protected. A good subcage will help save that tail if and when you put it down.
I'd also recommend taking off all your fairings at first. No point in scuffing them up while you are learning.
Wear protection too. Pm me your email and I'll send off some pics of why.
