dont mean to intrude on your thread but for those that shift in wheelies.. how much does that shift affect your balance..I mean, My bike has a BIG throw from 1st to 2nd without clutch.. it jumps forward.. so is that going to make the bike want to go DOWN or flip OVER? Im afraid i'll loop it if i shift..

Don't shift. Learn how to balance in just one gear.

Exactly.. I've never ever shifted a wheelie in my life :p Never saw the need to, but I'm also kinda scared to

Don't listen to them man shifting in a wheelie ROCKS, I can shift into 5th without a problem,........its not good for much besides just having fun but you should learn just to do it, from 2nd to 3rd is cake!! Just keep some up presure on the shifter and let of the trottle and back on in one fast motion. Practice on 2 wheelies first to get it smooth first. Just speed up and shift without the clutch, its the same in a wheelie just a little more at stack. Don't be scared its not as bad as you think, just remember its better to not give enough rather than give to much, its ok if it comes down on you a few times, just be ready to recover if you go back. 2nd to 3rd you don't have to worry as much, 1 to 2 is the bitch. Give it a try you will love it, and if you learn to shift you will learn the balance point faster and a little less stressfuly. Then you will beable to ride 2nd all day long!!!! Good luck!!!

Riding out balance point for ever is all good but you still need to shift. Get some fat combo's bustin slow **** then shifting up to 2nd and riding that bitch out. Maybe not so much a big deal on a litre bike but shifting is a must on 600's

Zero Descendo 1st to 2nd aint no thing on the 6R. Just make sure and click it up hard or you'll hit neutral and come down super quick. 2nd to 3rd is a lot smoother though.
