building out a 07 gsxr 750..need advice

been browsing around alot and readin up what i can. see alotta diff opinions on how to go about building a bike out right to stunt.

just picked up thrashed 07 gsxr 750. but the motor and frame are still in perfect shape. rebuilding it, then building it out to stunt. never done it before but spent plenty of time on two wheels. figured if i do it, i better do it right.

So my this is what i plan on doing. any corrections or additions to this list would be appreciated.

reinforcing the subframe, adding sick innovations or an a-town crash cage, sick innovations stunt pegs, racing 905 stunt stay, gp tech rear hand brake with a shorty clutch cap, sick innovation 12 bar, driven racing sprockets (-1 +12-14) and stainless break lines.

anything else i'll need to make this a good starter? any performance enhancements? i think i saw something about putting a little extra oil in to compensate for all the time spent standing up. is that true and does it apply to an 07 gsxr 750?

clip ons or dirtbike bars? and steering stabalizer i'm assuming. I haven't heard many people mention those on there initial builds but i dig it.

Re: building out a 07 gsxr 750..need advice

Ive always just added a little extra oil and NEVER had a problem. My 05 was -2, +15 and I ran the **** outta first gear all day long and never once had a problem. Do the clutch relay mod and an idle screw, fan switch and a hb and you're good

Re: building out a 07 gsxr 750..need advice

I rock my 07 gsxr 600 without a oil pick up. Never needed it.. I drilled out my secondary butterfly's and used a 01 ' r1 idle screw cable for the throttle control. And I wouldnt use the gp tech handbrake if I were you, just run a left hand nissin or magura if you can afford it, and run a 80 inch line to a ho hey dc adapter. Or if full throttle has his quad caliper adapters out run that. J beats also makes a big brake kit with a dc adapter. I think that runs 500$ or so.

Re: building out a 07 gsxr 750..need advice

Yessir or hit up racing905 they have left hand nissins. Also run a ez pull. But whatever nissin you get will be fine. But defininately reinforce the subframe if you plan on scraping. Gsxr subframes suck. But it's a great bike. I think impaktech has reinforce subframes with round bars and a Nate plate. Those are pretty awesome I won't lie. I just support 905 all the way so I don't rock his stuff but I never heard any complaints on it. Nate plates are nice because the 3 piece tail sucks sometimes on seat standers

Ok I feel stupid for asking this, but what benefit is it to have double front brakes? Increase brake control when standing up?
