Whats better?? 12 bar???

Just trying to decide on a 12 bar. been scraping my tail lately and figured its time before I mess up **** too much. Anyways what better a normal 12 bar or a round bar? Im sure its some of what people prefer is a round bar stronger? Any suggestions would be great thanks!

round bar for sure. or if you have a center mount exhaust a nice little tack welded block on the tip always makes for a low profile, stock looking scrape bar. just depends on if you pound it on the ground or just make the ocassional drag.

Re: Whats better?? 12 bar???

ya I have an 06 cbr 600 so my exhaust is up there, If Im most likely gonna be dropping my bike alot well I am still learning you reccomend a round bar? Cause I do eventually want to get into some heavy scraping **** where the bike can stay up on its own and I assume it cant do that with a round bar?

Re: Whats better?? 12 bar???

Just keep riding tell you learn to scrape your muffler, once you can scrape muffler, then get yourself a round bar.

Round bars are actually easier to scrape for a long distance. 12 bars throw you to the side really easy, they aren't easy to ride.

The only thing a 12 bar gives you the ability to do is park your bike on 12, which is lame.

Your exhaust is going to be a lot more forgiving then a solid bar

Re: Whats better?? 12 bar???

I still use a 12 bar, havent tried a round bar, gonna put one on though, the 12 bar isnt too safe Im always hitting my legs on. It actually peeled some layers of skin, off my shin from a fall, not fun. I do like it for bar tricks and 12's.

Re: Whats better?? 12 bar???

With a 600rr I would just scrape the exhaust, any bars just wreck your subframe.
